Big Christmas Time

I've been too busy these days, so here's a little chronicle of mine.

25.12.2013
Hey, it was Catholic Christmas! My congratulations! But still it was the busiest day of the day - I had too many things to do. I was at school for a longer time than usual because we, girls, had to finish sewing the suits of the boys. In the evening we had a party with the chorus, so Dasha and I had only about 3 hours before it to do everything each of us needed and... dye my hair. Yup! It was my aim #1 that day. I wanted to make a surprise for everyone at chorus and at school the next day, so I hadn't told no one about my plans to make the ends of my hair be red again. Expecting my worries about the lack of the time, my friend and I had no problem with the execution of my idea. Ah, well, she dyed me a little bit awry, but it's not a big deal.

We used up my American hair-dye; it was "Punky Colour" Vermilion Red by "Jerome Russell". If I knew it would be so cool and I would like it so much, I'd buy more jars with different colours. We didn't brighten my hair this time, so red ends don't look so synthetic now as it was past August. After making dip dye, I prepared quickly to go to the chorus. Certainly, I put my new dress on. Frankly speaking, everyone liked my look. (Yeah, I've been lazy to cut some photos up)

OH GOD the day came. This day is a big day of our New Year performances. I had to wake up at 6 a.m. (though usually I try to raise my ass an hour later) to fix myself up generally, handle with the hair-rollers and put false eyelashes on. We'd been told to come to school by 8 o'clock, and all the madness started at 9 a.m. We spent only 3-5 minutes for our dance of snowmen and snowflakes, but we had to repeat it every hour and, what is the most draining, we had to wait. We ate, wandered around the school, took photos. Also there was a disco after the play for each parallels of the classes, and to make children move we joined their discos. And there we were rocking the fuck out. I guess, many pupils didn't dance because they watched how we did it! We had 6 performances, and we taught 'em how to rock at 5 discos ( simply because we missed the 1st one for the 5th grades). Dasha instagrammed how we were improvising "Gangnam Style" for the 7th grades - clickclickclick
I don't know if the pupils liked our stuff, but we did, generally. The main idea of the play was that it was played only by the senior students. Our organizer just helped us to do that, some teachers sewed costumes. You see, usually teachers performed different plays to us, and this year we did everything by ourselves.

I've downloaded some photos of our dance taken by another girl.

You can recognize me with my white band and
curly half-red ends

Disco-part of our trick

You will be surprised what song had been chosen for the fast part of our dance. Check it! It hits my brain, I think I'll literally throw up if I hear this song one more time.

27.12.2013
Oh man, the last day of the school this year! Yey! I got all A's, super excellent, though everyone knows my math isn't so good. We had only three lessons, I presented everything I'd prepared to my friends and teachers. Then I came home and SLEPT! ALL DAY!
Now I remembered Dasha made some awesome stuff for me, and I've made it. I've already posted about that new Internet trend, it's so funny!

I have some series to watch their Christmas episodes. Firstly, I'm gonna watch "Doctor Who"; other Whovians would kill me because of the fact of not having watched the episode. You should know that Mr. Capaldi appears there.
What about the song of the day, so I'll put here what I wanted to do on 25th December. TSOTD is going to be my favourite Christmas song called "Last Christmas", and you can pick out your own favourite version.

Be brave this Christmas and give hearts to right hands

Are You Crazy?? or Don't Let It Snow

Dear Santa,
If you heard me singing "Snow In California" in the bathroom, so I have to warn you: California is not here. I thought you'd be better at geography, but California is thousand miles away across the Pacific ocean, and I live on Sakhalin, Russia. Or well, it can be called "Russian winter". What am I talking about? THIS:

Million Dollar Things

One of my laziest days. My English lessons started on 3 p.m., and I got out of my bed only approximately on 2.15. And yes, I still don't feel it's my vacation. Tomorrow after I see my mom off on the plane and have some beauty rest with my friend, I'll have a concert - is it called "vacation"?

Mirrors Gonna Fog

I've really really been meaning to write, but I'm too exhausted.
I've participated in the English Olympiad today, and there was a text about blogging that actually inspired me. But now on coming home after all my businesses I do understand I can't do anything but sending you some pictures. Get fan atmosphere!

BTW, I'd like to mention that my OTR (One True Reader) Ilya had his Birthday on the 8th of October, just 2 days ago, and at coming weekend we'll have our party. I'd wanted to write a congratulating post, but I was too tired and lazy again.
And the song of the day will be the first song of my little Natalia Kills era. The song is "Mirrors". The line from the song you can see at my last picture - "Sex Love Control Vanity". Such an enticing song!

Shut up

Shut your mouth and close the door
I wanna watch you while you take it off
I'm gonna take a blindfold put it on
And then I drop the leather to the floor
I said shut up

Turning the lights out
Burning the candles
And the mirror's gonna fog tonight
Turning the lights out
Tighten the handcuffs
And the mirror's gonna fog tonight

My stiletto on your neck
Until I tie your hands above the bed
You've gotta
But boy, don't pull the trigger yet
Na na na
I haven't reloaded the clip
Na na na

Squeeze hard, hold that pose
You know I like it, do it
Sweetheart, I'm the boss
And when you get close to it
I'm gonna make tonight a show (oh, oh, oh)
I'll make your love grenade explode (na, na, na)

Turning the lights out
Burning the candles
And the mirror's gonna fog tonight
Turning the lights out
Tighten the handcuffs
And the mirror's gonna fog  tonight

Turning the lights out
Burning the candles
And the mirror's gonna fog tonight
Turning the lights out
Tighten the handcuffs
And the mirror's gonna fog tonight

Sex, love, control, vanity
Sex, love, control, vanity
Sex, love, control, vanity (and the mirrors gonna fog tonight)
Sex, love, control, vanity (and the mirrors gonna fog tonight)
Sex, love, control, vanity (and the mirrors gonna fog tonight)
Sex, love, control, vanity (and the mirrors gonna fog tonight)
Vanity, vanity

Squeeze hard, hold that pose
You know I like it, do it
Sweetheart, I'm the boss
And when you get close to it
I'm gonna make tonight a show (oh, oh, oh)
I'll make your love grenade explode (na, na, na)

Turning the lights out
Burning the candles
And the mirror's gonna fog tonight
Turning the lights out
Tighten the handcuffs
And the mirror's gonna fog tonight

Turning the lights out
Burning the candles
And the mirror's gonna fog tonight
Turning the lights out
Tighten the handcuffs
And the mirror's gonna fog tonight

And the mirror's gonna fog tonight
And the mirror's gonna fog tonight

All I Know Since Yesterday

All I know is a simple name
Teylor Swift feat. Ed Sheeran,
"Everything Has Changed"

Today was better that I'd though, and it's all beacuse I had shopping-time today! And an amazing thing become mine is a book "The Great Gatsby" by Francis Scott Fitzgerald (now I'm imagining Tom Hiddleston as Mr. Fitzgerald from "The Midnight in Paris") with the poster of the film with the same name on the cover. And I bet you tomorrow I'll finish reading the book, because today I've already started, and now there's only 20 minutes left till tomorrow. So wait for the review!

Tomorrow I'll have my English lesson, what means I'll have some serious tests. Sure, it's not school, but anyway I don't wanna be a loser.
Last night I watched "The Hangover", the 1st part. I came up with the idea "At least, I should watch where [Vegas] I'm gonna be". Oh yeah, these guys are really great! Even though it was about 4 a.m., I couldn't help laughing. This night I'm going to watch the second part.

Talking about the U.S.A., so do you know how amazing my way there is? I'll go to Khabarovsk where I join my group, then we'll go to  Beijin, spend there a night, and after that we'll fly to LAX. But today my mom and I were told, that there's another way - we have a chance to fly to Hong Kong instead of Beijin , but it all depends on the organizers and U.S. consulate still preparing our visas. Frankly speaking, I'd like to visit Hong Kong, although we'd spend there only a night in a hotel, but I've already been in Beijin and its airport, and seen it from the height of the sky. And I've not done it with Hong Kong. But I'd better end up with the thought that my final spot is LA, and we should rich it no matter how.
Today morning I decided to listen to and fall for an adorable song by country-queen Taylor Swift and red British guy Ed Sheeran called "Everything Has Changed". Yes yes, here am I, sweet vanilla Olga, easily jumping from "AC/DC" to Taylor Swift and back. But you know my obsession to British men, so deal with it. Welcome the song of the day with the cutest music video.

All I knew this morning when I woke
Is I know something now
Know something now I didn't before
And all I've seen
Since 18 hours ago
Is green eyes and freckles and your smile
In the back of my mind making me feel right
I just want to know you better know
You better know you better now
I just want to know you better know
You better know you better now
I just want to know you better know
You better know you better now
I just want to know you know you know you

‘Cause all I know is we said hello
And your eyes look like coming home
All I know is a simple name, everything has changed
All I know is we held the door
You'll be mine and I’ll be yours
All I know since yesterday is everything has changed

And all my walls stood tall painted blue
But I’ll take them down, take them down and open up the door for you
And all I feel in my stomach is butterflies the beautiful kind
Making up for lost time, taking flight, making me feel right

I just want to know you better know
You better know you better now
I just want to know you better know
You better know you better now
I just want to know you better know
You better know you better now
I just want to know you know you know you

‘Cause all I know is we said hello
And your eyes look like coming home
All I know is a simple name, everything has changed
All I know is we held the door
You'll be mine and I’ll be yours
All I know since yesterday is everything has changed

Come back and tell me why
I'm feeling like I’ve missed you all this time
And meet me there tonight
And let me know that it's not all in my mind

I just want to know you better know
You better know you better now
I just want to know you know you know you

‘Cause all I know is we said hello
And your eyes look like coming home
All I know is a simple name, everything has changed
All I know is we held the door
You'll be mine and I’ll be yours
All I know since yesterday is everything has changed

All I know is we said hello
So dust off your highest hopes
All I know is pouring rain
And everything has changed
All I know is a newfound brightness
All my days, I’ll know your face
All I know since yesterday is everything has changed

The Day of Tom Hiddleston. Midnight in Paris. Cannes.

I've just watched the movie "Midnight in Paris" by incredible Woody Allen. Oh, the film is maarvellous! ("The kiki is maarvellous") I've watched it certainly because of Tom Hiddleston. Then I've found out beautiful Marion Cotillard and Rachel McAdams take the parts there. In general, the movie's simply fabulous, "Midnight in Paris" received an enthusiastic critical response. For the next part of the discription let's go to the Wikipedia:
Taking place in Paris, the film follows Gil Pender, a screenwriter, who is forced to confront the shortcomings of his relationship with his materialistic fiancée and their divergent goals, which become increasingly exaggerated as he travels back in time each night at midnight. The movie explores themes of nostalgia and modernism. Thanks to the site, I'll continue. The movie mentions a lot of great people of that "lost generation": Francis Scott Fitzgerald (Tom Hiddleston) and his wife Zelda, Ernest Hemingway, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí and others.
BTW, the film made its debut at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. "Midnight in Paris" won several cool prizes, including an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Grammy. Isn't it great?
Well, the movie's blended perfectly with my thoughts about Mr. Fitzgerald and his Gatsby, Mr. Hiddleston and Festival de Cannes. A coincidence or destiny?

Soon I'll learn to distinguish films by Allen from others, because it's the 2nd movie by this famous director I've seen; the 1st one is "To Rome With Love" starring Alec Baldwin, cute Jesse Eisenberg, Penélope Cruz and Woody Allen himself. My mom and I was laughing a lot watching it.

What about other Allen's works, so I want to watch "Vicky Cristina Barcelona".
This is my second post for the day, and this is the second time I mention Tom Hiddleston. Let me remember what movies starring him I've seen:
  • The first time I saw Tom at all was "War Horse" with Benedict Cumberbatch. Hiddleston played Captain Nicholls, and I didn't know that cute guy is OMG TOM HIDDLESTON
  • The second time I ran into this actor was "The Avengers". I watched the movie with my friend in the cinema and told her: "Hey, I've already seen him with Benedict!"
  • Then I started to familiarize with the world of Marvel and the world of Tom Hiddleston, so the next movie I watched was "Thor". Generally, it's rediculous I watched "Thor", "Iron Man" and "The Captain America" only after "The Avengers". It's the nature of me.
  • And here goes "Midnight in Paris" - my today's exploration
I know there's a big BBC project "The Hollow Crown" based on the plays by William Shakespeare, and Mr. Hiddleston appears there as Henry V, but shame on me, I watched only the 1st part of the series - a film about Richard II played by Ben Whishaw. Yeah, now you know why I watched. When I was watching it I thought it's a little bit boring, but now I understand it's so great.

If you think I like every film I watch, so you go a wrong path. For example, I definitely dislike "Marmaduke". Definitely. It's dull in my oppinion.
Well well well, also today we talk about Cannes! Yesterday I scrolled through some photos from the red carpet of the Festival paying my attention to the dresses. I hope I'll find an idea for my prom's dress. Yes, I know it'll be only in a year, but time goes by so fast. So here's some looks I like:

The black dress on Audrey Tautou is my favourite. I'd like to have something like this, but not black. I don't know what colour I want, but not black. And yes, 2 last dresses look alike very much, but anyway they're different. Girls understand.
According to the title, here's some pictures for you, as usual. Photos of Tom Hiddleston from Cannes:

Moreover, while Thomas has fun in France, Ian Somerhalder had fun in Moscow a day or two ago. Today I'm going to watch a late night show with him.
Ouch, I promised you the song of the day... Let inject some Brazilian music in my blog, and I introduce Cartola with his song "Preciso me encontrar". Enjoy!

Be brave!

P.S. Who's sweet here? ^_^

Lost in Translation

Cleopatra used to rule,
But she got nothing on me now
Lana Del Ray, "Last Girl On Earth"

Fuck my class master, we HAVE HAD lessons today! Well, it was a free time and chemistry, but anyway we'll have to go to school on the 31th of May too! Damn it, I've lost a bet to my friend.
Yesterday the friend, my best friend and I went for a walk, and we were in the park, so today all my people asked me something like "How could you be there? There're ticks!" Oh man, what the ticks? Everything was so fine.
Talking about "Oh man". My English tutor gave me an article with an interesting title "Oh, man! Living the high life in Oman" some lessons ago. I thought it was an old article, but then I found it in the space of the Internet, and the article about the resort in Oman was published only on the 9th May this 2013 on the web-site of "Washington Post". Actually, the author did his work very well, he writes pretty fascinating, but I've understood I can't translate it in a good way in Russian immediatly, I need time to choose good literary expressions. And when I make a translation not instantly, it becomes nice.
Actually I haven't seen the movie "Lost In Translation", but maybe one day the time will come. Hey, Festival de Cannes is on. I've read there was a premier of the movie with adorable Tom Hiddleston I want to watch now. The movie is "Only Lovers Left Alive", and OH MY GOD the Russian premier will be only in December! Why is it so long to waaaait?? I won't use holy Internet to precipitate. In general, the story's about vampires, love and art - a classic set. Besides Tom Hiddleston, Tilda Swinton, Mia Wasikowska, John Hurt and our Russian guy Anton Yelchin appear there.

At least I haven't seen "The Great Gatsby" yet!! I seem to know probably every little thing about the movie, but I haven't watched it! So little time's left to watch it in the cinema.
I won't name the song of the day, because our day has only started. Right now I'm listening to gorgeous Lana Del Rey. Let you do it too.

Be brave to wait till the song of the day

Poems' Day

Sometimes I run into the pictures with beautiful verses, and I feel like sharing them with you. I don't know the authors, they just appear in my Internet space. Yeah, I admit the poems are pretty sad, but it doesn't spoil their tenderness.

I also want to get you my favourite poem "The Tyger" by William Blake. The poet even made an illustration. You see, here's the original Y in 'Tyger' and the punctuation, but later editions, of course, have done it our way. No matter what, enjoy "The Tyger".

Tyger Tyger. burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye.
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

In what distant deeps or skies.
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand, dare sieze the fire?

And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat.
What dread hand? & what dread feet?

What the hammer? what the chain,
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp.
Dare its deadly terrors clasp!

When the stars threw down their spears
And water'd heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?

Tyger Tyger burning bright.
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye.
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

There're some audio versions of Shakespeare's sonets and other different poems in my Reader, read by my favourite British actors: Devid Tennant, Tom Hiddleston, Ben Whishaw, Benedict Cumberbatch and Andrew Scott. It's useful listening to the original English language recorded by native speakers (so sexy native speakers) and trying to understand every tiny thing. Plus, I can't help listening to it when I'm sleepless or nervous - nice rich deep male voices always work wonders with the women.
And here's Mr. Devid Tennant performing for you Sonet 12 by William Shakespeare. Oh, he sits like a machine, but his words fly away.

Also I can't miss our Russian literature and my favourite Russian poets - Mikhail Lermontov and Alexander Blok. Russian writers and poets have probably never had easy life, so didn't have these two.

Mikhail Lermontov
Like An Evil Spirit

Like an evil spirit hast thou
Shocked my heart from out its rest,
If thou'lt take it quite away now -
Thou wilt win my healing blest!

My heart thy temple evermore!
Thy face,- the altar's Godhead sign!
Not heaven's grace, - thy smiles, restore,
Grant absolution, joy divine!

Alexander Blok
A Girl Sang a Song

A girl sang a song in the temple's chorus,
About men, tired in alien lands,
About the ships that left native shores,
And all who forgot their joy to the end.

Thus sang her clean voice, and flew up to the highness,
And sunbeams shined on her shoulder's white -
And everyone saw and heard from the darkness
The white and airy gown, singing in the light.

And all of them were sure, that joy would burst out:
The ships have arrived at their beach,
The people, in the land of the aliens tired,
Regaining their bearing, are happy and reach.

And sweet was her voice and the sun's beams around....
And only, by Caesar's Gates - high on the vault,
The baby, versed into mysteries, mourned,
Because none of them will be ever returned.

And certainly, exercising my rights as a would-be musician, I can't deny many songs have really nice lyrics. And vice versa - there's a glut of cases when a poem has become a decent song. At least, I can warrant Russian music area.
If you're still looking forward to the song of the day, so it'll be an adorable song "The Man I Love" by Ella Fitzgerald. No, it's not the same song which Lana Del Rey sings. But you should pay your attention even more to Ella's song, Ella Fitzgerald is The Queen of jazz. We must give her due, because singing jazz is a hard deal, however easy and funny it may look. I definitely love it.

Be brave, be smart!

Rain In December

Today I feel different feelings. The start of the day has been nice! My literature Olimpiad's been pretty easy and generally I really like it. I wonder if I get to the regional step. And then I've spent all my time before tutor's lesson in my bed.
But then it has become. Rain. RAIN. RAAAIIIIINNN!!! IT IS RAIN IN DECEMBER! And it's still raining right now! HOOOOOW?

All my feelings about that bitch ("And by bitch I mean this rain")

After my English lesson I've gone to my mom's work as usual to go home together with mom. And near their porch there's almost a skating rink! There's already been ice on the ground  and plus pouring rain from above! Therefore my mom and I have fallen from our feet, and mom has done it for 2 times! Oooh, it's so painful!
Tomorrow I'll go to the sociology Olimpiad, and I don't care much of it. No, I don't care not because I know it, just because I don't care of sociology. LOL
On Sunday I decided I'll pass literature as an exam next year. It means I must start working hard.
Because of it's pouring rain outside and my mood's not so good, let's get it up and listen to funny song "Raining Men"! And you can understand it's the song of the day.
