Ariana Grande

I decided to write this post about my latest "discovery" - a young and beautiful American actress and singer Ariana Grande. I should be thankful to Twitter's World Trends, because right there I saw her name for the first time and wondered who she was. But finally I made up my mind to get acquaintance with her only this week. Firstly I browsed the Wikipedia to see where she'd been shot and found "Victorious". I'd already heard about that series, but then I watched one episode. I can't say anything special about it, but Ariana had to dye her hair red to play her role of Cat Valentine, a pretty shallow and childish girl. Then I made the rightest decision to start listening to her and her songs with her live performance - it was "Tattooed Heart" at the AMA 2013 where she had won the award for New Artist of the Year. I immediately fell in love with the song and the voice; moreover I can't deny that Ariana is definitely beautiful, though sometimes she has a look like she's sorry, and in general she's so dolly-doll! I really liked her performance, nothing's superfluous, only elegance and the voice.

Then I watched her other works - music videos I mean. And from her official clips I wanna mark out "Popular Song" feat. Mika. They also both sang that song at "Dancing With The Stars" where Glee's Amber Riley participated and won (Yey!). But other works didn't catch me much. On watching "The Way" feat. Mac Miller I realized that I'd seen that music video on TV, but I also hadn't felt it keenly. 

But I absolutely loved her live performances. The singer admires Whitney Houston, India.Arie and Mariah Carey, so you can easily find some cover versions of  their songs by Ariana on her YouTube channel. And as Christmas and New Year are coming up, I'd like to point out to her cover on Cary's "All I Want For Christmas Is You".

Moreover, Ms. Grande has her own Christmas EP with nice holiday songs. I feel like sharing this one with you, about a weird situation for California - snow.

Generally, Ariana has 2 studio albums: her first experience "Yours Truly" and just mentioned by me "Christmas Kisses" EP. Talking about her personal life, now she's in a relationship with Nathan Sykes from my 4th favourite band "The Wanted" (OMG SO COOL)! They even have a mutual song called "Almost Is Never Enough" as a soundtrack for a movie I don't remember the title.

Here's my little Ariana Grande's review, if I may call it so :) The song of the day will unconditionally be "Tattooed Heart", I listen to it several days in a row.

P.S. I was told that I'm a awardee for the municipal Olympiad for history! HISTORY!! So surprised! Typing 'awardee' I mean I'm not a winner, not just a participant without anything, but a prize-man. Probably, I'll be gift a flesh card by our city authorities. I also hope, I'll get good results for other subjects *fingers crossed!*

Chasing The Sun (mission completed)

Do you remember I complained you about my "burning desires"*? So what, guys? I'm waiting for the congratulations! I finally bought all the stuff yesterday, though I run around the half of our city for them! And nail polish, and lipstick, and eyeliner. My mom called that black nail polish "gothic" and said she hadn't seen my favourite nail art with black basis and gold tips. Woman, it's one of my best nail arts!!
Today I'm going to cook an interesting thing - pears, boiled in the grapes juice. Going to be very sweet, I think! :) Anyway, wait for my next post, I wanna make kinda tutorial.

All the events are gone, but we're still asked to sing our competition's song.
Today Ruben and I have watched "Girl, Interrupted". It's a little bit of a weird movie, but in the end it's good. Everyone, who like lovely Angelina Jolie and Jared Leto, should watch.
Ah, every talk with my mom about my future makes me sad because of my lost way. My old-new English tutor and I even discussed it last lesson. I told her about the department I'd found, and she offered me to examine the career of a writer. Well, what if I become a writer? Why not? My problem is that I can't compose my thoughts in a good way. You see, making blog posts and writing a story are different things, and everytime I try to write something worthwhile, it comes out stupid a lot. At least I know exactly I cannot write fantasy, and I'd like to write 'belles-lettres'.  So, in the end, the way of finding yourself is very hard.
Also I've got a chance to go to Korea this April for a week! My choire bosses' band will have to give some performances there, but 2 girls can't leave their universities, and the bosses should find substitutes. And guess who is going to be one? Me, of course! I've known about it just today, and in the begining I've doubted about the travel, but my mom and my friend have persuaded me, so now I just have to wait being asked.
Moreover, I'm about to fly to Japan as well this summer, with the bosses' band too. But in summer they want to take me just because I am good. :) To sum up, if everything's ok, I'll visit 3 countries!! 3 different countries in one year! I hope I'll do it.

Now it's time to describe you my feelings about the 2nd step of the English Olimpiad I've had today. Actually  I'm not satisfied with myself. I know I could make my monolog and a dialog with a boy better, but I was SO NERVOUS!! Many pupils from gymnasiums have competed with me, and the boy I've been in the couple with is from a gymnasium. This way I must admit that gymnasium's pupils are better at English then us, simple pupils; plus you know, all the knowledge I have I got last year with my previous tutor, and I must say to her "thank you much". But frankly I think more, that my crazy nerves have played the main role. So I hate my monolog so! The question's for it been "Why is it good for students to participate in competitions or concerts?". The first thought, generally, everything's clear, but I've had 1,5 min to talk to the teachers! Maybe, if I'd prepared better, I could talk better, but only a teacher asked "Are you ready?" in 30 seconds after my reading the task I've started answering. So I've got very curt speech, mistakes, hitches... Aaaaah, soooo baaaad! Of course, it's the greatest experience for me, but anyway I'm feeling upset.
If you want to hear something more pleasent, here I go. The day before yesterday I had a dream with... don't think that I'm crazy about him, but I dreamed I was having fun with Charlie McDonnell! We just had a walk, laughing, talking a lot, going crazy... So we became the best friends or something like that. I'd never though Mr. McDonnell would be in my night dream. But I can't deny in real life I'd like to become a friend with Charlie as many girls around the world would like too.
Next weekend my friend Ruben will have a birthday, but I don't even know what to present him! Do you have any ideas?
Some days ago I bought the album "Battleground" by The Wanted. I love these fellows so much! Therefore the song of the day will be one from this album. Let it be "Invincible"! I fell in love with this song from the first sounds.
