We solve crimes. I blog about it, and he forgets his pants.
I wouldn't hold out too much hope.
John Watson, "Sherlock" BBC
Every watching "Sherlock" BBC reminds me of who I am.
So, two days ago I returned to snowboarding, and it was awesome! Dasha, a couple of our buddies and I rode the most popular winter sports place of our city called "Gorny Vozdukh" that can be translated as "Mountain Air". I snowboarded there for the first time, and I did it fine! I finally can ride the regular position (even though I had thought goofy was mine), but I can't control it fully, so I have so much to do with it! I also had a ride today, but Dasha and I didn't descend the slope too long, because the place was too ice to ride it normally, and you'd better invent an iceboard for that. But anyhow I has improved my snowboarding skills since the last year. I plan on surfing YouTube looking for the tips of better riding.
Yesterday I hooked up with my girls from the music school. Even though I live with Cherry Lady in the dormitory at university, but Christina see us much rarer. As usual we went to our favourite coffee-shop, spent there 3 good hours talking and then went home. But tomorrow we'll all visit our teacher from the music school whom we love a lot.
Moreover, tomorrow I'll prepare dough for my speciality of the house - gingerbreads. I hope everything will be fine, because I'm known with my fails about cooking,,, and with my victories.
The song of the day will be "Nirvana" by fabulous Sam Smith, that's been rolling in my head for a pretty long time. So marvellous.
Be brave to ride new ways
Irene Adler: I would have you, right here, on this desk,
until you begged for mercy twice...
Sherlock Holmes: ...I've never begged for mercy in my life.
Every time I see something like this, it reminds me of who I am:
And so today I just feel like outspeak everything what's happened with me and what is about to happen. Get ready for absolutely random stuff in no order.
The first and the biggest thing absolutely is not a happy one. We it was happy in the beginning - the day before yesterday (25.072014) Dasha came back to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk from her about 2 weeks trip to Khabarovsk where she will study at university. I was so glad to see her, moreover now everyday for us together is precious. But then, as a modern proverb says, shit actually happened. Dasha, I and a couple of our friends were standing by a playground talking while some boys playing football at that same ground. That sunny day showed no signs of trouble, and then BANG a big and heavy blow in my face, I heard a crack of my favourite sunglasses; a few first seconds I couldn't even understand what had just happened. Then I saw my sunglasses on the ground broken, a ball lying not far away, Dasha was already making it clear to the boy who hit us with the ball that he's the last completed asshole on the planet. I fought my tears, but I couldn't resist my emotions and pain, so I let myself out and cried for good 30 mins, if not even more. Later I figured out Dasha was hit by the ball too - it came to her jaw after my face at the rebound. Now I look like one of riff-raff or like a victim of family violence.
The photo was taken right after I'd waken up
to make it look more dramatic with my
panda eyes
I hope it'll be over by the 1st of August - I don't want to show up in the university committee with that bruises on and under my nose! BTW, I'm also really frustrated with the loss of my favourite sunglasses - I bought them with an amazing discount! So now I'm going to find something new. :C
Another big thing is that I can't help waiting for the next week, I've just written about the August 1st in the previous paragraph. On that day my mom and I will fly to St. Petersburg to hand my original documents over to my university. I seem to have written this stuff for a thousand times, don't I? Anyway, we'll be in that part of Russia till the 16th of August, so we'll be able to visit our relatives ( though it can make 20 hours by train) or maybe travel to somewhere else, it will all depend on money we will have. You see, if I get my place in the university on a commercial basis, we'll have to pay for the first term immediately. But if I'm lucky to have my education on the government budget basis, my mom and I will be able to rock St. Petersburg the fuck out. I'll know something clearer soon enough, because preliminary lists are coming. Then we'll be back home, and I'll leave my hometown for good on the 30th of August.
The weather on Sakhalin is fine, so maybe next week I'll chance to visit the seaside, who knows.
Ah, nearly forgotten. Some days ago I hooked up with my friends from the music school, one of them was Cherry Lady who hasn't been mentioned for long, and another was Christina who currently studies in another city and now are visiting out mutual hometown on her vacation. I hope even after our leaving to other cities, we'll keep on gathering together in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
We weren't drunk, we were together
Nowadays I prepare for my moving to St. Petersburg with so-called 'spring cleaning', that's actual summer cleaning. I choose what to bring with myself to our cultural capital, what I should totally throw into garbage, also almost everyday I put up 'the big washing', and lately I found out that 50 Shades of Grey is what's actually happening in my closet. Dasha gave me a big bag, so I have something appropriate to carry all my stuff in. I always forget that I'll bring not only my clothes and my favourite blanket, but also all my cosmetics, accessories, a couple of books and Satan-knows-what-else-I-can-think-of. That's why the 2 last days before our trip I'll be thinking and packing, thinking and packing. Of course, I'll be back, so I'll have another chance to move my things, but it's better to carry the most of them now while I have my mother's help. In the end of August I'll have to handle with it on my own!
And the song of the day will be a pretty old (in our modern measurement) song by Cheryl Cole called "Parachute". It's so awesome the music video features Derek Hough! LOVE HIM
I don't tell anyone about the way you hold my hand
I don't tell anyone about the things that we have planned
Won't tell anybody, won't tell anybody
They want to push me down
They want to see you fall down
Won't tell anybody how you turn my world around
I won't tell anyone how your voice is my favourite sound
Well, hello there, y'all! I haven't written for 'a while', might even have already forgotten how to type. You know, I've had so many things I would fill a book in with all that sht, but at the same time 'all that sht' made me feel exhausted like I'd been working in the deepest mines of hell and Satan never paid me. But I won't overwhelm you with the details and will try to trigger only the most interesting things in my mind about how I finished on of the most important parts of my life and am ready to start a new one. So, here I go.
THORsday, whooo! What a busy day. But for some reason we didn't have P.E. skating lesson today, so I even had 30 minutes to doze off between my English lesson and chorus rehearsal.
Today my freedom has restarted. I'm not about that I was under arrest or something, but my dad had had a long vacation (about 2 months), and today was his first work day. I hope tomorrow after school I'll make something for YouTube; I spread my influence LOL
Tomorrow I'll have my last Mantoux (tuberculin) test ever. One day I wrote about this test, and the most important thing for children is that you can't eat sweets, junk food and citrus plants and get your spot of the injection wet for 3-4 days, because all these things will cause allergic reaction for the test and make your injection big and red. And if the spot of the injection is red and big, it means you have tuberculosis, but in fact you do not, you've just eaten a tangerine! Actually, sweets and chips aren't so dangerous for the test reaction, if you know when to stop. Last year I even made an experiment: I excluded all sugar from my food - I drank tea without sugar, I didn't drink coffee at all (because I can't bear it without sugar), I didn't even touch sweets and chocolates and all that jazz just to figure out if I could survive without sugar. And I could not. On the third day of the experiment I felt myself so bad, sleepy, weak, my head was swimming, so all my condition was poor enough to understand life without sugar sucked.
There's nothing more to write about (since yesterday, sure), so I suggest you some nice picture for the night as we all like it. A week ago I watched "Pride and Prejudice" with Keira Knightley again, therefore there's some fan stuff about the movie.
Today was my first school day, wooooow! But it was... pretty usual. Well, what else should I have expected? Maybe, some of my teachers mentioned my Olympiad, and that's all. Generally, my day wasn't full of events, I dozed off nicely before my chorus rehearsal.
Yesterday I saw some Sochi 2014 merchandise and decided to buy dragee with the 3D toy representing one of the winter Olympic Games mascots. I got Snow Leopard skiing, and I had to put the skis and Leopard's paws to its body (like Kinder Surprise stuff). You may think, that's ok, what's wrong? And the thing is that Leo had... 2 LEFT PAWS. WHAAAAAAAAAAAA? And you know, my greatest thought is that somewhere in Russia there's Snow Leopard with 2 right paws.
Tomorrow we're gonna have the first PE lesson skating. I hope, we'll have a good company, because there may be loads of jokes with a fine company skating. But I'm a little bit upset we won't be able to play snowballs there nowadays, because you could remember we have a new super-duper stadium (we usually have our skating rink there), so it has its own fence, and at least our P.E. teacher will raze us to the ground if we play with snow on the rink. *SO LOL*
Yesterday I watched the last episode of "Sherlock" BBC, and you may guess I've got the reaction "OMG WTF SHOKED SHOKED WHAA TEUfFELEI DIABLERIE DIAVOLERIA DAMN IT TO THE HELL". But, yes, I liked the episode, and the whole season was interesting for me (especially drunk Sherlock), though many people wouldn't agree with me.
Surprisingly all day long I've been filling like listening to "Roar" by Katy Perry (though I don't like the song much), so this sing will be TSOTD sure enough.
I used to bite my tongue and hold my breath
Scared to rock the boat and make a mess
So I sat quietly, agreed politely
I guess that I forgot I had a choice
I let you push me past the breaking point
I stood for nothing, so I fell for everything
You held me down, but I got up (HEY!)
Already brushing off the dust
You hear my voice, you hear that sound
Like thunder gonna shake the ground
You held me down, but I got up (HEY!)
Get ready 'cause I’ve had enough
I see it all, I see it now
[Chorus]
I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire
'Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar
Louder, louder than a lion
'Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
You’re gonna hear me roar
Now I’m floating like a butterfly
Stinging like a bee I earned my stripes
I went from zero, to my own hero
You held me down, but I got up (HEY!)
Already brushing off the dust
You hear my voice, you hear that sound
Like thunder gonna shake the ground
You held me down, but I got up (HEY!)
Get ready ’cause I’ve had enough
I see it all, I see it now
[Chorus]
I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire
‘Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar
Louder, louder than a lion
‘Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
You’re gonna hear me roar
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
You'll hear me roar
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
You're gonna hear me roar...
Ro-oar, ro-oar, ro-oar, ro-oar, ro-oar
I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire
‘Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar
Louder, louder than a lion
‘Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar
Okay, it's the middle of my winter vacation, and what does it mean? Every day I sleep till it's lunch time or even later, I've gone for a walk only once (not counting the 1st of January), I don't study anyhow for my tutors and school. I watch old and new episodes of "Sherlock" BBC being shown by our central TV channel. BTW, the 1st episode of the 3rd season is just madness. Madness, mixed with drugs and the fandom's wishes.
And here it starts - 2014! Send a wish upon a star, and it'll come true certainly!
My family. New Year edition
Of course, I was listening to the chiming clock announcing the New Year with my family. We had fun taking photos. The most hilarious part was when my dad tried to take a photo of us with my elder sister's tablet.
After the midnight of the new year some of my friends and I gathered together and went for a walk as we had done a year before, but there were only 6 people! So we went to the main New Year's trees of our city and came back to the place of the meeting.
Our little company with me taking the photo
The boys suck, but Dasha and I look so pretty, don't we?
We walked till 3 a.m., and then the boys went somewhere-I-didn't-give-a-shit ('cause it was without us), and we, girls, went to Dasha's yard to go on having fun. I stayed at Dasha's place for the whole night (and morning, all in all - till 4 p.m.), and my friend and I drank enough not to remember all the jokes we made. Moreover, we tried watching "Magic Mike", but it fell though. LOL
On my way home I took a video about snow, because Denis from LA had asked me to - they have only rains there, whereas here we have a freaking lot of snow. BTW, here's the link, if you know Russian. And if you guess my 1st of January finished with making that video, you lose. Only having come home, I was called by my class teacher asking:
- Where are you?
- I'm home.
- What are you doing there?
- Me? At home? Well... I've just come from Dasha...
- Really? So, ring round everyone, and I'll wait you all at "Cherry Bar" on 5 p.m., everything's ordered.
- But how? In one hour? Why didn't you call even later??
- Oh yeah, I could ring you up in 30 minutes before the meeting.
So I called my friends, went ran to Dasha again, and together we took a taxi to the bar. I was called again and again by my friends wondering WTF was happening, but even I hardly had an idea. When Dasha and I finally got to the bar, we had to wait for a pretty long time until firstly the friends, I called to, came, and even later my class teacher, some our friends and some parents of them got to the place too. There we mostly sang various songs, ate a little bit, those, who wanted, drank. Generally, it was a nice party, so homey and cozy.
And only after that I finally got home, made my snow video and sort out my New Year's gifts. Dasha granted me a cool mag looking like a Canon lens and "ARTPOP" album by Lady Gaga. Woo-hooo!
My girls presented my some festive souvenirs - always a safe bet. Also I got a present from Ilya, which is pretty strange for a girl. It is a PC game "Empire: Total War". I immediately installed it in the evening on coming home. Having been brought up with "Civilization V", I only get used to "Total War" world, even though I've already tried "Napoleon: Total War" out.
Installing "Empire..." made me come back to Steam. Of course, I used it when I played "Civilization" during summer 2012, but then I put it off and forgot my password. I tried hard to recalled it or restore my account anyhow, but after all my efforts I gave up and said goodbye to my "Civilization" and all money I'd paid for that. But only today, if I've got a new account, I've bought "Civilization V" again (online now, with a cool reduction - thanks to this festive season), with all additions I'd had that time. And right now it's downloading YYYAAAAASSS!!! *O* [Yup, I love strategies]
And noooow I'm ready to watch new season of SHERLOCK! YAS AGAIN! The premier here is a bit later that in London or in Europe part of Russia, but here I go - watching one of the coolest series of our time.
Hey, guys! Happy Halloween! While a half of the planet is celebrating the day of the dead wearing cool suits, I do nothing extraordinary. Therefore I'll make here kinda fan-space. Nothing special, but my favourite fan-arts. And a good old song I lately became obsessed with.
Be brave!
P.S. Yeah, it may look like Lanapocalypse.
P.P.S. "THE CARRIE DIARIES" SEASON 2 HAS STARTED! I'm so excited! Have just watched the 1st episode, and it's so coooool!
No homework - no obstacles to write.
Yesterday I made a cool hair style, and it still lasts! But right after the moment I took the rollers off, I looked like a clown!
Yesterday
Today
Also yesterday I took part in the second step of our English Olympiad. I don't know why our teacher brought so many pupils for the 2nd step - Ilya and I were the best.
I think about revising my Italiano knowledge. Even though I've stopped learning not to hinder my final state exam preparation, I shouldn't forget what I've already known. And frankly speaking I know enough to understand the simplest texts. Moreover, I read in an excellent way. But only I graduating school, I'll renew my self-learning.
Cool news - Ms. Perry has finally released her new album "Prism"! I'll definitely buy it! (When we get it in our city) For now my favourite songs of the album are "Dark Horse" and "Legendary Lovers".
The last one is kinda Indian-style, so soon I'm gonna have a play list with the song made with Indian melodies. But I'm not sure about the album cover. I though it'd have more swag as well as "Roar" would. But I was right neither about "Roar", nor about "Prism" cover.
And even more I'm longing for the new season of my fabulous "Doctor Who"! BTW, Mark Gatiss celebrates his BDay today. Happy Birthday, troll!
Why have I put the line from Gaga's "Scheiße" in the title? I don't know. Probably, just because I'm listening to it right now. I really love her albums "Monster", "The Fame Monster" and "Born This Way". I hope, "ARTPOP" is going to be the same cool.
Ah, nearly forgot! Today's been the first snow! The winter is coming and all the jazz. Yeah, it's pretty damn cold outside!
So, sweeties, get your song of the day and go. I should sleep a bit.

I, I wish I could be strong verdammte scheiße, yeah.
Hi there!
I couldn't use my Internet for a couple of days because I didn't pay for it on time. But here I go.
On Sunday my music friend, a school leaver, had a "last bell". It means they don't have lessons anymore and wait and prepare till their final exams. She'd invited our mutual music friend and me, but we couldn't come.
Also that day my "godbrother" had his Birthday, he turned 17. Actually I didn't want to go there, but his mother and he himself had simply forced me. Well, I was bored again.
Today I've spend my day off (not holiday yet) with my music friend (not a school leaver). We've been watching the 1st season of "Sherlock" BBC, but we haven't finished. Anyway we've had a good time, it's been so nice! She's shown me some cool videos I didn't watched because of my laziness.
Some days ago I discovered cool YouTube guys named "Pentatonix". They sing a capello their own compositions and make covers. I found out them with this one:
Aren't they cute? "Pentatonix" has won a glut of prizes in various competitions.
Tomorrow I'll have a day off too, but it doesn't cancel my English lesson. The day after tomorrow I'll have the last day of education, and TA-DA! Here comes our summer holidays!!!
Talking about summer, I must admit the weather outside has got much better during last weekend. I can say it's even hot. For May on Sakhalin. I can't wait to wear my new clothes.
And the song of the day... Has "Undisclosed Desires" by unbelievable "Muse" already been TSOTD? Even if yes, today they're on top too.
I think this song's dedicated to "1984" too as well as "Resistance" and many songs from the album "The Resistance". This book had effected on the guys a lot that time.
I've just come from the prom in my music school. Well, being polite, I can tell it was nice, but listen to me - we were better. Today we haven't even had dances! We haven't danced!! What a graduation party in our music school without dancing in our hall?! Our sound producer is God of this matter. Fine. I'm bringing the party here.
In general, the evening's been AMAZING. I've finally meet a friend of mine, the last time I saw her was the Christmas, I suppose. So, 3 crazy girls have been having fabulous time in their alma-mater, doing mad thing, laughing damn loud, enjoing each other.
Yey! Tomorrow's also a big day! There'll be a Grand Final of Eurovision Song Contest 2013! I wish good luck every participant I like, and Mother Russia as well, even though other countries should wish and better send her their wishes expressed in terms of points.
Sometimes I run into the pictures with beautiful verses, and I feel like sharing them with you. I don't know the authors, they just appear in my Internet space. Yeah, I admit the poems are pretty sad, but it doesn't spoil their tenderness.
I also want to get you my favourite poem "The Tyger" by William Blake. The poet even made an illustration. You see, here's the original Y in 'Tyger' and the punctuation, but later editions, of course, have done it our way. No matter what, enjoy "The Tyger".
Tyger Tyger. burning bright,
In the forests of the night;
What immortal hand or eye.
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies.
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand, dare sieze the fire?
And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat.
What dread hand? & what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain,
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp.
Dare its deadly terrors clasp!
When the stars threw down their spears
And water'd heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?
Tyger Tyger burning bright.
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye.
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
There're some audio versions of Shakespeare's sonets and other different poems in my Reader, read by my favourite British actors: Devid Tennant, Tom Hiddleston, Ben Whishaw, Benedict Cumberbatch and Andrew Scott. It's useful listening to the original English language recorded by native speakers (so sexy native speakers) and trying to understand every tiny thing. Plus, I can't help listening to it when I'm sleepless or nervous - nice rich deep male voices always work wonders with the women.
And here's Mr. Devid Tennant performing for you Sonet 12 by William Shakespeare. Oh, he sits like a machine, but his words fly away.
Also I can't miss our Russian literature and my favourite Russian poets - Mikhail Lermontov and Alexander Blok. Russian writers and poets have probably never had easy life, so didn't have these two.
Mikhail Lermontov
Like An Evil Spirit
Like an evil spirit hast thou
Shocked my heart from out its rest,
If thou'lt take it quite away now -
Thou wilt win my healing blest!
My heart thy temple evermore!
Thy face,- the altar's Godhead sign!
Not heaven's grace, - thy smiles, restore,
Grant absolution, joy divine!
Alexander Blok
A Girl Sang a Song
A girl sang a song in the temple's chorus,
About men, tired in alien lands,
About the ships that left native shores,
And all who forgot their joy to the end.
Thus sang her clean voice, and flew up to the highness,
And sunbeams shined on her shoulder's white -
And everyone saw and heard from the darkness
The white and airy gown, singing in the light.
And all of them were sure, that joy would burst out:
The ships have arrived at their beach,
The people, in the land of the aliens tired,
Regaining their bearing, are happy and reach.
And sweet was her voice and the sun's beams around....
And only, by Caesar's Gates - high on the vault,
The baby, versed into mysteries, mourned,
Because none of them will be ever returned.
And certainly, exercising my rights as a would-be musician, I can't deny many songs have really nice lyrics. And vice versa - there's a glut of cases when a poem has become a decent song. At least, I can warrant Russian music area.
If you're still looking forward to the song of the day, so it'll be an adorable song "The Man I Love" by Ella Fitzgerald. No, it's not the same song which Lana Del Rey sings. But you should pay your attention even more to Ella's song, Ella Fitzgerald is The Queen of jazz. We must give her due, because singing jazz is a hard deal, however easy and funny it may look. I definitely love it.
TODAY IS 12.12.12!! WHOOOOOHHHO!
I'm so tired, I want to sleeeep! Though I've though I slept enough today. But I must do my homework for physics; this year I've never done it before because my marks have been good, but now I've found out my total mar won't be excellent, though it HAS TO BE excellent. So I've decided to do my physics homework well and get some high marks.
Tomorrow it'll be already traditional Movies-Thursday with my friend Ruben, and we'll watch "Third Star" starring Benedict Cumberbatch! So interesting to know what the film is.
As I wanted, I've picked out the accompaniment of "Stay" by Rihanna feat. Mikky Ekko on the piano by ear and found some chords in the Internet! Yeeaaah! I can play it on the pianooo! :D
The song of the day will be "Gods And Monsters" by Lana Del Rey. It's sooo deep and gorgeous song...
I write here my favourite part of the song - the 1st verse. (Also the video's with the lyrics, so here we go)
