Grande Amore To Heroes With A Million Voices

How do you like my title, huh? Do you recognize anything? I'm sure you do as well as you know that I'm a super Eurovision fan. And of course you shouldn't doubt that Dasha and I woke up so early last week just to watch our favourite show live. I must admit that I really LOVED this year's Eurovision! I don't recall a better show since 2009. I liked so many songs. But there's always a 'but', and I feel like mentioning that the show itself could have been greater. I mean the opening ceremony, fireworks, dances, surprises... It was the 60th Eurovision anniversary! And I'm not the only one who thinks so. I've chanced to talk to a Swedish guy, and he noticed the luck of celebration too. I understand that nothing compares to the show Russia launched back in 2009, but they could try. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the time spent with Eurovision. Of course, Dasha and I made such a mess in our social networks, but it was worth it.

Now a couple of words about my favourites. One of the first guys I liked was a duet from Estonia with the song called "Goodbye to Yesterday". I immediately noticed that their song strongly reminded me of another song, and in the end of that day I realized I had been thinking about "I Love You" by Woodkid, and Dasha agreed. Compare too!

I can't help writing about the Belgium singer Loïc Nottet who smashed the Internet with his hit "Rhythm Inside". It was the second track that reminded me of something else. "Rhythm Inside" reminded me of Lorde's works, it was obvious with the first claps. 

I also loved a wonderful duet from Norway with "A Monster Like Me". The red-haired songstress reminded of Florence and the Machine, but it was the only resemblance with anything that I had noticed. I won't annoy you with that anymore :) So I absolutely fell for the song, it's 'so me' as the basic girls may say. 

I also liked the girl from Ireland, though she didn't make it to the Grand Final. I like thr type of song she performed, so let it live here.

Do you see that almost all of the songs I've mentioned are ballads? So the next singer didn't have to work hard to be noticed, because he had such a club song. And I'm talking about Nadav Guedj with his track "Golden Boy". People compared him with Justin Timberlake, I saw and heard a lot of Jason Derulo. And he's only 16!! 

I can't leave the winner without my attention, of course. His performance touched every heart and mind, I think. The staging of the performance is incredible, the guy is adorable, the song is powerful. What else do you need from a winner? I'm obviously satisfied with Måns Zelmerlöw, he's definitely the hero of his country to bring Eurovision back to Sweden so soon! I must remind you that Sweden held the contest not so long ago, just in 2013. Sweden always sends decent singers with cool songs to Eurovision Song Contest. And Dasha and I hope to see Eric Saade the next year, maybe just like a host. Please?

Ok, here you go, Russia! Actually I hadn't paid much attention to the Russian entry before Polina's performance. Our song "A Million Voices" is a strong ballad that Eurovision has every year, so I didn't hope much, especially in the political situation we have. But when Polina got on stage, I remembered her live performance I'd seen before in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and understood she would blow anyone's mind away. And she did! When they were telling the results from each country and Polina held the 1st place for a long time, I hardly kept my emotions! I thought like "OMG! It can't be truth!" And so well, it wasn't... :D BUT THE SECOND PLACE! It's our best result since the victory in 2008! I was surprisingly proud of Russia, Polina's emotions were inimitable. Go, Russia!

Aaaaaand these guys must be my most favourite. The following lines will be full of love and admiration. So, the object of my love is... a marvellous, wonderful, perfect trio "Il Volo" from Italy with their amazing song "Grande Amore". OH MIO DIO, LORO FIABESCHI, AMO LORO! CHE BELLE VOCI! BELLISSIMO! Grazie, grazie, ragazzi! I hadn't listened to their song before the contest, so I only heard some samples during the semi-finals and thought "Oh, it must be great!" I didn't wait much from Italy, because previous songs hadn't been very impressive. But when those three young men came on stage, opened their mouths and led people to heaven, I understood that I found a new musical power for my life. And another reason to learn Italian!! Then I figured out that the guys are only about 2 years older than me, and I was like "Oh my! Where can I get a visa to Italy?" Just listen to them! They sing not for you, but right into your soul, invading in your private space and remaining there like the owners. Of course, I soon found their other songs, and now I wanna take a bath in their voices. Finally I found a resource with which I'll learn Italian ASAP. Grazie.

I liked more songs than I've described, but these are really worth writing about. I hope you have easily determined the song of the day. 

Talking about the things beside Eurovision, so I've passed all the exams connected with my student organization. I'm almost a teacher of a summer camp!! I'LL WORK WITH MANY CHILDREN THIS SUMMER! Olga, what have you become? I simply hope, the better version of me.

Drunk On Literature. Dog Show.

So, the first exam's results arrived! And I... got 73 points of 100! That's an awesome result for me, because I'd had no idea what score I approximately would get. And 73 is a real achievement for me. Actually, I don't worry about the results, I'm interested in knowing them. Oh, but I worry about the math, yeah, here I do.
And past Saturday my friend Lera from the chorus (we lived together during the Japanese work) invited me to celebrate my first result in the country. She took me out to the place called called the Warm Lakes, and we were accompanied by her friends. I'm so thankful for her invitation, because I finally got myself away from my laptop and out of our city to meet the nature, though I'm not a huge fan of the countryside. Boys grilled some meat, Lera and I drank some champagne, so everything was alright! Then guys decided to go swimming in the actually-not-so-Warm Lakes. Well, maybe I would join them too, but my nature don't allow me swimming once a month. All in all the trip was nice, thanks to Lera for making that day. Yeah, on the photo below you can see that Lera and I stained each other with the cinder:D

The next day, 8th of June, Dasha got me to a local dog show. She asked me to join her, because her aunt showed her dog there as well, her dag was a Boerboel, the only one on the show. Weeeeeeell, I wouldn't say I was too excited about the dog show. We had to wait for a long time, it was so amazingly stinky around, and you was able to see clouds of dog fur flying in the air! But anyhow it was nice watching the best dogs of our island. And a cute chow chow became the best dog of the show.

So, that's how I spent my weekend. Was yours nice? Approximately on June, 11th we'll receive the results for our Russian test, so I can't help longing for them. So it turns out to be the only thing for me to do now - just wait.

Everything For 2 Weeks

Prologue

I've been writing this damn post for a whole week! This spring seems to make me kinda lazy about making my favourite stuff like writing posts or shooting videos. All I do this spring is laying around and shouting out about the exams coming.

Part One and Only

Although I've almost run out of my power, I strongly feel like writing a post. I'll do it chronologically, not to mix myself and all of you up.

Firstly, on more notice about the 9th of May. Surely, we performed that day for the veterans of the labor front. The veterans liked our concerts so much, but I was more interested in the place of the event itself. The restaurant we were in is considered to be one of the coolest in our city. Also, our parents examined this venue as our would-be restaurant for the graduating party (but it's too expensive). Ah, the place has a really bombast name - "Bounty Hall". But it has lots of big mirrors - you know what for. 

The next day, on Saturday, Cherry Lady and I went to our city park to get the Sun's warmth fully. Actually, I was so glad the weekend was simply amazing! Saturday and Sunday both were brilliantly warm (sometimes even hot), so I relaxed in a good way.

The next day, on the 11th of May, Dasha, our mutual friend from her company Kostya and I went off to the hills. And I went to the hills... on the heels! And wearing a skirt! I wonder if I was the first person who got there dressing up like this. But we all really enjoyed hiking, I immediately remembered how I hiked Hollywood hills. After that Dasha and I came to the cafe similar to "Starbucks", but it wasn't as pleasant as "Starbucks" itself.

Of course, the most exciting news of that week was the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST 2014. Well, right from the start ("you were a thief, you stole my heart...") I didn't like the song "Shine" by our Russian representatives the Tolmachevy twins. The song is so mediocre, there's a billion songs like that. But I must admit their performance was nice and it brought the result - the twins reached the Grand final. But from the first time I fell for the song "Calm After The Storm" by the Netherlands duet "The Common Linnets". This song is so mine! I really feel like visiting the live performance of the band's or, at least, of any of its member, because the both singers are professional artists on their own. In the nutshell, I adore "Calm After The Storm", so it's gonna be your song of the day. My true winners.

On 14th of May my chorus and I had a really grand concert with many new songs and dance tricks by our friendly dancing band. I'd invented my class master, but unfortunately there was a meeting at school with the parents about our forth-coming exams, so of course he couldn't miss his job (though I though he would). But my friend Ilya chanced to visit the concert and I made him dance! Hell yeah! I don't have the photos from the event yet, but here some photos made by the friends of my mom.

And now all the senior students leaving school this year prepare for an important event of our life called the Last Bell, I've already written of it. And it's sooo freaking soon! The exact date of this sht is the 24th of May with the Day of Childhood on its eve. But still we're all mixed up about the part when we, the leavers, will sing to our teachers. Also we're almost done with our 'last school waltz' (though for some it's the first one at the same time). Our organizer drives our crazy telling different things to different classes; for example, she didn't tell our class to come to the rehearsal at Saturday, though 2 other classes learnt the end of the dance. WTF?! Anyway, I hope everything will be sort out and we all will be gorgeous.

Coming to the conclusion, I guess, it's all what I've wanted to write about, although shortened in a confusing way. Thanks for being patient and for simply being at all.

2014 is coming up, so it's the time to come across what's happened to me this 2013 year. Surely, you can follow almost my every day, what I do, where I go, what I eat, but anyhow it's always kinda the honour to put an end to something, especially a whole year.

Sleepless and Limitless Night Of The Great Gatsby

A night with my friend went brilliant! We had much fun, watching films and singing our favourite songs aloud so loud.
The first movie we'd watched was OH MY GOD "The Great Gatsby". If I watched the film earlier I would write a big good post about it. But all the articles have been already written, so I have to say only that I totally fell for this movie, Leonardo DiCaprio played Mr. Gatsby so amazing, music's fantastic (yeah, you know). I've also always admired that time - the beggining of the XX century. I stop here.

The second movie we'd watched was "Limitless". What a cool film too! The plot's about magic pills making your brains work with all their power instead of regular 20%. I wish I had some those pills! But unfortunately they capture you like drugs.

I keep on telling everyone my awsome story about my travel to Vladivostok. Noone can believe I had to fly there only to make the finger-prints.
Soon our friend, ex-classmate Yulia will arrive here. Now she lives and studies in the South Korea, but on the holidays she visits her parents and us. Frankly I won't have a lot of time to spend with her, because I'll go to the U.S.A in some days after her arrival. And ouh, I'll depart exactly on her birthday.
And the song of the day will be a song by my favourite adorable Eric Saade. My friend and I sang it last night, and it perfectly describe us that time. Welcome "Sleepless"!

Only Teardrops

Yesterday I was too tired to write anything, though there were things to write about. Of course, I'm about the Grand Final of Eurovision Song Concert 2013! Grand Final is the only reason I wake up at 6 a.m. on Sunday once a year. And the Grand Final 2013 was nice too. You see, bookmakers and I were right giving Denmark the 1st place. Our girl Dina got the 5th position, but everyone thought she'd get a higher one.
Gladly the geographic system of voting didn't work this year, some results were really unexpectable. On the other hand, it's a little bit vexing that Russia didn't recieve a point from Azerbaijan.
Moreover, it was nice to see my favourite Eric Saade, helping the host Petra in the Green Room during the final of the Grand Final! [TAUTOLOGY-STYLE]
As far as you remember, I already made the winner song "Only Teardrops" the song of the day 2-3 posts ago. Therefore I offer you another song I like from Eurovision this year - it's "Tomorrow" by the paediatrician Gianluca Bezzina from Malta. My friend called him "local Mr. Schue", and I agree with her - they're the same cute.

Probably, I'm about to miss some lessons in the end of the week, and even my 'favourite' economics. I wonder if our economics teacher a.k.a. Red Beotch misses me.

Since yesterday I've been feeling myself like I'm ill, although I'm not. I hope I'm not. I don't know why, but yesterday after watching Eurovision I started feeling bad, and it hasn't stopped even today. Ok, I've got my sore throat since I was at the music school prom, because I could shout out there a lot, though I wouldn't say so. But how can I explain my all condition?

Party

I've just come from the prom in my music school. Well, being polite, I can tell it was nice, but listen to me - we were better. Today we haven't even had dances! We haven't danced!! What a graduation party in our music school without dancing in our hall?! Our sound producer is God of this matter. Fine. I'm bringing the party here.

In general, the evening's been AMAZING. I've finally meet a friend of mine, the last time I saw her was the Christmas, I suppose. So, 3 crazy girls have been having fabulous time in their alma-mater, doing mad thing, laughing damn loud, enjoing each other.

Yey! Tomorrow's also a big day! There'll be a Grand Final of Eurovision Song Contest 2013! I wish good luck every participant I like, and Mother Russia as well, even though other countries should wish and better send her their wishes expressed in terms of points.

Marry Me Rolling In The Deep

Guys, guys, guuuys! The 2nd semi-final has gone, so we know who will perform on Saturday (on Sunday for our time zone). So here they go:

• Firstly, there're forever-competitors: the UK, France, Spain, Germany, Italy and the last year winner Sweden
• Then we have the winners of the 1st semi-final: Moldova, Lithuania, Ireland, Estonia, Belarus, Denmark, Mother Russia, Belgium, Ukraine and the Netherlands
• And the lastest winners of the 2nd semi-final: Hungary, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, Norway, Iceland, Armenia, Finland, Malta, Greece

It's pity the Swiss team didn't get through. I think the 95 year-old contrabass player was worth being in the Grand final. 

My favourite song of the 2nd semi-final is funny "Marry Me" by the singer Krista Siegfrids from Finland. She'd written this song for her boyfriend hinting delicate. Also to support one sex marriege in her country, she [SPOILERS] kissed a girl on the stage! (aah, I'm singing Katy Perry's song while I'm typing it)

Today I've gone shopping with my friend, and my legs are ready to die. But I've bought things I wanted for a long time, so now I'm almost ready for summer! So I bought this:

Tomorrow I'll visit my music school, because I've been invited on the graduation party. I think, it's going to be excellent, because my best music friend and I need noone else to party, even if the party isn't ours. Go to hell, we are stars.

Tomorrow morning my early bird being will exist again, because of the 2nd semi-final of Eurovision Contest! I'm so glad!
What about the 1st one, so frankly, guys, I bursted out crying, when the show was opening with Loreen, her song and all those children... So beautiful and sentimental, and I was so happy Eurovision's with us again!

I'm proud of our Russian competitor! Dina was so nice, she sang amazing, and the decoration was wonderful. I liked her performance more than her song's promotion and the music video. I'm sure she'll get a better result.

I'm not satisfied with the song from Belarus and their performance in general. In whole I loved the 1st semi-final, and hope the 2 step won't be worse.
And the song of the day will be a song I like, I really love more than others, and it's "Only Teardrops" by Emilie de Forest from Denmark! I wish Emilie and her crew good luck, can't help listening to this marvellous song.

Eurovision Week Is On

Today for the time of Europe and tomorrow for us the song contest Eurovision will begin. I've been a big fan of the event since 2009, and now I've already got my oppinion about the situation. What about the present competitors, I told about them a little bit here. So, tomorrow morning I, as an early bird, will be staring in the TV screen, looking for the new tracks for my play list. Surely, I could have done it already (holy Internet), but it's not in my best interest. Also, people call it spoilers.
By my own little tradition, I've changed my profile picture in the social network on the logo of Eurovision 2013. I've done it since 2011, when Germany held the competition.

I think you all know that Eurovision is not only about songs, but also about international "friendship". I don't remember a lot of points from Italy or Holland, for example, but here comes Ukrain, welcome, Azerbaijan. [EUROCOMMERCE] One smart guy has made a pretty easy diagram to find out  who with whom, where, when, how. For the beginners.

Unfortunately, I can give up with my efforts to learn history, becuase to enter Russian Philology Department, I'll have to pass history successfully. I haven't told ya about philology, have I? Well, we've got some problems among our big family, so I should study on the budget basis in the university. Therefore I've found Philology Departments of Far East Federal University - for the Russian and foreign languages. I'll send my documents to both faculties, therefore I must be ready. Actually, it's easier to find yourself in FEFU, than in the universities of Moscow and St. Petersburg, where I've been longing to go to so much. [RUSSIAN COMMERCE]

Welcome To The Life Of Electra Heart

Fortunately, I won't have a concert tomorrow and will have an English lesson. You'd think "She's mad", but I'm really fed up with our concerts and I already missed one lesson with my tutor last Saturday. Moreover, I'll have 2 big works, so better write them and forget.
BTW, about big works - the time of final tests has started today with the big test for mathematics. I don't know how to describe it, because some of tasks were easy, some - unbelievable difficult. (Not for the humanitarians, as my friend would say). But tomorrow at school we will take a similar test for the Russian language, so it's exactly the field for my brains. Therefore I don't even worry about it, but it'll be awkward, if my Russian's scores are low. DREAM ABOUT IT, BITCHES
Right now I'm going to watch the last episode of "Doctor Who". I think the Doctor is closer and closer to find out who's Clara in fact. Talking about the series, yesterday I watched the last episode of "Glee", and I was actually crying during the episodes with Cassie July. She turned to be so cute!
In a week my favourite Eurovision will begin! Yey! Do you know the competitors? I've already seen everyone, but I agree with the bookmakers - Denmark is the best! What about Mother Russia? Well, Dina's pretty, but Russia can't hold the Eurovision and the Olimpiad in one year. And I don't think our song's good enough to be #1.
As long as I've mentioned "bitches", let the song of the day will be an electro-rock song "Bubblegum Bitch" by fabulous Marina And The Diamonds.
