Mulled Wine. Cows. L'Amore È Cieco. A Cattle-Wench.

Some days ago my dear roommate Cherry Lady and I had a decent evening, because we cooked... mulled wine! It turned out to be a piece of cake. My mom and I cooked it when I was on vacation in my hometown, but I only watched her doing that, and now I was a leader cooker. The easiest way to mull wine is to pour wine in the pot (well, we cooked in the multicooker), add cinnamon and sugar and heat it all up not bringing to the boil. But we don't make things easy. On pouring semi-dry red Italian wine into the bowl, we added a special mix  of spices for mulled wine (if you create it yourself, frankly speaking you can add anything, but it's preferable to be cinnamon and cloves as minimum), an apple, an orange, half bottle of orange juice (some use pure water), sugar (pretty much) and turn the heat on. Our mulled wine came off delicious! Now we know what we will cook for our New Year party. And every winter weekend starting from November. One more recipe in my mental bank!
Also I wanna share with you what I find hilarious at our university. You know, FEFU develops really fast, we have a beautiful campus, one of a kind in Russia. There are plenty of serious and important international events held on our campus. But during the warm period of year now and then you can face... cows. Cows pasture around by the roads, right near the university fence. I think it's ridiculous! Poor animals got used to eat their grass on these meadows when there was no campus, and now their memory leads them back. I don't even know who owns the cows and let them pasture whenever they want. I also have a funny guess that they belong to the university's School Of Biomedicine, where they can create something innovative out of the cows' milk. Anyhow some days ago I chanced to take a pretty stylish photos of the cows pasturing right in the middle of the road.

As long as we're back to our studies, we've met some new and not so new teachers. One of the teachers taught us in the very first semester (it's our 3rd semester now) and I really liked her very much. I knew that she would teach us the foreign literature this semester, and I looked forward to it. And what my surprise was when at our first class I learnt that she, my favorite teacher, knew Italian! I murmured "Mi ciamo Olga" to Cherry Lady sitting next to me, but the teacher heard it and asked: "Parli italiano?" When I answered, she asked some more little questions in Italian, but I hadn't practiced it for awhile, so I wasn't able to reply her properly. That's why nowadays I furiously catch up on my Italian knowledge. And try to expand the French one at once too as we have more French classes this year. By the way, French tongue-twisters should burn IN HELL!!
So should one of our groupmates. This guy has always been a pain in ass, but recently he's been acting in such a ridiculous way! I won't retell you the whole story, but he ended up calling me and Cherry Lady "cattle-wenches"! HOW DARED HE CALL ME A CATTLE-WENCH??! AND MY FRIEND??! UGHR! The end of the story was a fight that motherfucker and his roommate VS. our group leader Anton and one groupmate's boyfriend. Of course, Anton and the Co. won. Goddamn, it sounds like the nineties... #facepalm
Here's my little notes about what have happened in my life. The song of the day... I think I have too many. But ok, today I'm giving you "Runnin' (Lose It All)" by Naughty Boy feat. Beyonce and Arrow Benjamin. The video is absolutely stunning.

[Verse 1: Beyoncé]
These four lonely walls have changed the way I feel
The way I feel, I'm standing still
And nothing else matters now, you're not here
So where are you? I've been callin' you, I'm missin' you

[Pre-Chorus: Beyoncé]
Where else can I go? Where else can I go?
Chasin' you, chasin' you
Memories turn to dust, please don't bury us
I got you, I got you

[Chorus: Beyoncé]
Runnin', runnin', runnin', runnin'
Runnin', runnin', runnin'
Ain't runnin' from myself no more
Together we'll win it all
I ain't runnin', runnin', runnin', runnin'
Runnin', runnin', runnin'
Ain't runnin' from myself no more
I'm ready to face it all
If I lose myself, I lose it all

[Verse 2: Arrow Benjamin]
I've outrun the fears that chased, they're standin' still
I'm runnin' still, I'm runnin' still
And every voice that cried inside my head, forever drives
Forever drives, I kill the lights

[Pre-Chorus: Arrow Benjamin]
Where else can I go? Where else can I go?
Chasing you, chasing you

[Chorus: Arrow Benjamin + Beyoncé]
Runnin', runnin', runnin', runnin'
Runnin', runnin', runnin'
Ain't runnin' from myself no more
Together we'll win it all
I ain't runnin', runnin', runnin', runnin'
Runnin', runnin', runnin'
Ain't runnin' from myself no more
I'm ready to face it all
If I lose myself, I lose it all

Il Senso Essiste

I've been thinking what I wrote you almost every day here? What silly words did I put here? I grow thinking that it's kinda stupid describing the weather or that I've done nothing during the day, but anyhow I keep on doing that and it calms me down with the thought that I do write s-o-m-e-t-h-i-n-g. Well, it did, 'cause now you must have noticed that my posts are published really rarely, when I have no one to speak out to or I've saved enough news to tell. Writing has become not a pure aim, but a way of sharing my inner world with the outer one.
Sometimes I receive the inspiration and write drafts for stories. They're not completed for sure and are pretty dumb, but they are something, it's a start. I'm still waiting for a moment of the true inspiration to write something fully. From time to time I get ideas, but then my idleness works or my self-confidence doesn't work right and break the Internet any plans.
My education for this academic year is almost over, it's so close to the end. The only thing I have to do is to retell some books to my teacher of foreign literature. Even though I failed my final test, she allowed me just to tell the texts not to take the exam. I'll have to answer her questions about "Romeo and Juliet" (though I read it at school, I forgot many details), "Hamlet", "King Lear" and "Othello" by Shakespeare, "Decameron" by Boccaccio, "Don Quixote" by Miguel de Cervantes and "The Dog in the Manger" by Lope de Vega. And I'm quite ready for all of them. I pray for it. I've been lazy for the whole semester and hardly read anything, so now I deserve to suffer and read all this things. Actually I've watched some of the plays to make my life easier. But I really enjoyed reading "The Dog in the Manger" and ended up laughing at "Romeo and Juliet" - how stupidly things turned out to be! Still I'm not a fan of Shakespeare, no. But read some literature, it makes you smarter, guys!
The song of the day will be a cool Italian song "L'Amore Essiste" by Francesca Michielin. It says that love doesn't have sense, it has neither name, nor eyes, but nevertheless it exists, and you can run into it all of the sudden, when you even don't think of it.

Grande Amore To Heroes With A Million Voices

How do you like my title, huh? Do you recognize anything? I'm sure you do as well as you know that I'm a super Eurovision fan. And of course you shouldn't doubt that Dasha and I woke up so early last week just to watch our favourite show live. I must admit that I really LOVED this year's Eurovision! I don't recall a better show since 2009. I liked so many songs. But there's always a 'but', and I feel like mentioning that the show itself could have been greater. I mean the opening ceremony, fireworks, dances, surprises... It was the 60th Eurovision anniversary! And I'm not the only one who thinks so. I've chanced to talk to a Swedish guy, and he noticed the luck of celebration too. I understand that nothing compares to the show Russia launched back in 2009, but they could try. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the time spent with Eurovision. Of course, Dasha and I made such a mess in our social networks, but it was worth it.

Now a couple of words about my favourites. One of the first guys I liked was a duet from Estonia with the song called "Goodbye to Yesterday". I immediately noticed that their song strongly reminded me of another song, and in the end of that day I realized I had been thinking about "I Love You" by Woodkid, and Dasha agreed. Compare too!

I can't help writing about the Belgium singer Loïc Nottet who smashed the Internet with his hit "Rhythm Inside". It was the second track that reminded me of something else. "Rhythm Inside" reminded me of Lorde's works, it was obvious with the first claps.

I also loved a wonderful duet from Norway with "A Monster Like Me". The red-haired songstress reminded of Florence and the Machine, but it was the only resemblance with anything that I had noticed. I won't annoy you with that anymore :) So I absolutely fell for the song, it's 'so me' as the basic girls may say.

I also liked the girl from Ireland, though she didn't make it to the Grand Final. I like thr type of song she performed, so let it live here.

Do you see that almost all of the songs I've mentioned are ballads? So the next singer didn't have to work hard to be noticed, because he had such a club song. And I'm talking about Nadav Guedj with his track "Golden Boy". People compared him with Justin Timberlake, I saw and heard a lot of Jason Derulo. And he's only 16!!

I can't leave the winner without my attention, of course. His performance touched every heart and mind, I think. The staging of the performance is incredible, the guy is adorable, the song is powerful. What else do you need from a winner? I'm obviously satisfied with Måns Zelmerlöw, he's definitely the hero of his country to bring Eurovision back to Sweden so soon! I must remind you that Sweden held the contest not so long ago, just in 2013. Sweden always sends decent singers with cool songs to Eurovision Song Contest. And Dasha and I hope to see Eric Saade the next year, maybe just like a host. Please?

Ok, here you go, Russia! Actually I hadn't paid much attention to the Russian entry before Polina's performance. Our song "A Million Voices" is a strong ballad that Eurovision has every year, so I didn't hope much, especially in the political situation we have. But when Polina got on stage, I remembered her live performance I'd seen before in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and understood she would blow anyone's mind away. And she did! When they were telling the results from each country and Polina held the 1st place for a long time, I hardly kept my emotions! I thought like "OMG! It can't be truth!" And so well, it wasn't... :D BUT THE SECOND PLACE! It's our best result since the victory in 2008! I was surprisingly proud of Russia, Polina's emotions were inimitable. Go, Russia!

Aaaaaand these guys must be my most favourite. The following lines will be full of love and admiration. So, the object of my love is... a marvellous, wonderful, perfect trio "Il Volo" from Italy with their amazing song "Grande Amore". OH MIO DIO, LORO FIABESCHI, AMO LORO! CHE BELLE VOCI! BELLISSIMO! Grazie, grazie, ragazzi! I hadn't listened to their song before the contest, so I only heard some samples during the semi-finals and thought "Oh, it must be great!" I didn't wait much from Italy, because previous songs hadn't been very impressive. But when those three young men came on stage, opened their mouths and led people to heaven, I understood that I found a new musical power for my life. And another reason to learn Italian!! Then I figured out that the guys are only about 2 years older than me, and I was like "Oh my! Where can I get a visa to Italy?" Just listen to them! They sing not for you, but right into your soul, invading in your private space and remaining there like the owners. Of course, I soon found their other songs, and now I wanna take a bath in their voices. Finally I found a resource with which I'll learn Italian ASAP. Grazie.

I liked more songs than I've described, but these are really worth writing about. I hope you have easily determined the song of the day.
Talking about the things beside Eurovision, so I've passed all the exams connected with my student organization. I'm almost a teacher of a summer camp!! I'LL WORK WITH MANY CHILDREN THIS SUMMER! Olga, what have you become? I simply hope, the better version of me.

Reactive Sloth

THORsday, whooo! What a busy day. But for some reason we didn't have P.E. skating lesson today, so I even had 30 minutes to doze off between my English lesson and chorus rehearsal.
Today my freedom has restarted. I'm not about that I was under arrest or something, but my dad had had a long vacation (about 2 months), and today was his first work day. I hope tomorrow after school I'll make something for YouTube; I spread my influence LOL
Tomorrow I'll have my last Mantoux (tuberculin) test ever. One day I wrote about this test, and the most important thing for children is that you can't eat sweets, junk food and citrus plants and get your spot of the injection wet for 3-4 days, because all these things will cause allergic reaction for the test and make your injection big and red. And if the spot of the injection is red and big, it means you have tuberculosis, but in fact you do not, you've just eaten a tangerine! Actually, sweets and chips aren't so dangerous for the test reaction, if you know when to stop. Last year I even made an experiment: I excluded all sugar from my food - I drank tea without sugar, I didn't drink coffee at all (because I can't bear it without sugar), I didn't even touch sweets and chocolates and all that jazz just to figure out if I could survive without sugar. And I could not. On the third day of the experiment I felt myself so bad, sleepy, weak, my head was swimming, so all my condition was poor enough to understand life without sugar sucked.
There's nothing more to write about (since yesterday, sure), so I suggest you some nice picture for the night as we all like it. A week ago I watched "Pride and Prejudice" with Keira Knightley again, therefore there's some fan stuff about the movie.

Louder Than A Lion

Today was my first school day, wooooow! But it was... pretty usual. Well, what else should I have expected? Maybe, some of my teachers mentioned my Olympiad, and that's all. Generally, my day wasn't full of events, I dozed off nicely before my chorus rehearsal.
Yesterday I saw some Sochi 2014 merchandise and decided to buy dragee with the 3D toy representing one of the winter Olympic Games mascots. I got Snow Leopard skiing, and I had to put the skis and Leopard's paws to its body (like Kinder Surprise stuff). You may think, that's ok, what's wrong? And the thing is that Leo had... 2 LEFT PAWS. WHAAAAAAAAAAAA? And you know, my greatest thought is that somewhere in Russia there's Snow Leopard with 2 right paws.

Tomorrow we're gonna have the first PE lesson skating. I hope, we'll have a good company, because there may be loads of jokes with a fine company skating. But I'm a little bit upset we won't be able to play snowballs there nowadays, because you could remember we have a new super-duper stadium (we usually have our skating rink there), so it has its own fence, and at least our P.E. teacher will raze us to the ground if we play with snow on the rink. *SO LOL*
Yesterday I watched the last episode of "Sherlock" BBC, and you may guess I've got the reaction "OMG WTF SHOKED SHOKED WHAA TEUfFELEI DIABLERIE DIAVOLERIA DAMN IT TO THE HELL". But, yes, I liked the episode, and the whole season was interesting for me (especially drunk Sherlock), though many people wouldn't agree with me.
Surprisingly all day long I've been filling like listening to "Roar" by Katy Perry (though I don't like the song much), so this sing will be TSOTD sure enough.

I used to bite my tongue and hold my breath
Scared to rock the boat and make a mess
So I sat quietly, agreed politely
I guess that I forgot I had a choice
I let you push me past the breaking point
I stood for nothing, so I fell for everything

You held me down, but I got up (HEY!)
Already brushing off the dust
You hear my voice, you hear that sound
Like thunder gonna shake the ground
You held me down, but I got up (HEY!)
Get ready 'cause I’ve had enough
I see it all, I see it now

[Chorus]
I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire
'Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar
Louder, louder than a lion
'Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
You’re gonna hear me roar

Now I’m floating like a butterfly
Stinging like a bee I earned my stripes
I went from zero, to my own hero

You held me down, but I got up (HEY!)
Already brushing off the dust
You hear my voice, you hear that sound
Like thunder gonna shake the ground
You held me down, but I got up (HEY!)
Get ready ’cause I’ve had enough
I see it all, I see it now

[Chorus]
I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire
‘Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar
Louder, louder than a lion
‘Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
You’re gonna hear me roar
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
You'll hear me roar
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
You're gonna hear me roar...

Ro-oar, ro-oar, ro-oar, ro-oar, ro-oar

I got the eye of the tiger, a fighter, dancing through the fire
‘Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar
Louder, louder than a lion
‘Cause I am a champion and you’re gonna hear me roar
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
You’re gonna hear me roar
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
You'll hear me roar
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
You're gonna hear me roar...

Chatting Over Tea

Lazy crazy days... I've realized that since Monday I've been waking up with my alarm clock, so that means my days aren't so lazy, I have plans.

Books' Day

Yup, not to leave my Movies' Days all along, I probably add here on more subject day - a day about books. You know my love to reading, so I'll always have something to say. Or write, to be more exact. Today I'll tell you about what I'm fond of nowadays and what I bought lately. Here I go!

I don't speak German, but I can if you like

No homework - no obstacles to write.
Yesterday I made a cool hair style, and it still lasts! But right after the moment I took the rollers off, I looked like a clown!

Yesterday
Today
Also yesterday I took part in the second step of our English Olympiad. I don't know why our teacher brought so many pupils for the 2nd step - Ilya and I were the best.
I think about revising my Italiano knowledge. Even though I've stopped learning not to hinder my final state exam preparation, I shouldn't forget what I've already known. And frankly speaking I know enough to understand the simplest texts. Moreover, I read in an excellent way. But only I graduating school, I'll renew my self-learning.
Cool news - Ms. Perry has finally released her new album "Prism"! I'll definitely buy it! (When we get it in our city) For now my favourite songs of the album are "Dark Horse" and "Legendary Lovers".

The last one is kinda Indian-style, so soon I'm gonna have a play list with the song made with Indian melodies. But I'm not sure about the album cover. I though it'd have more swag as well as "Roar" would. But I was right neither about "Roar", nor about "Prism" cover.
Of course, I'm also waiting for Lady Gaga's "ARTPOP", especially with the fact that she mentions Russians in one song ("CUZ I LOVE LOVE CUZ I LOVE LOVE YOU BETTER THAN YOU BETTER THAN, MY DARKEST SIN. RUUUUSSSSSIAN HOOOOOKERS ANDD CHEEAPP GIIIIIIN"). So proud of Russia!! LOL
And even more I'm longing for the new season of my fabulous "Doctor Who"! BTW, Mark Gatiss celebrates his BDay today. Happy Birthday, troll!
Why have I put the line from Gaga's "Scheiße" in the title? I don't know. Probably, just because I'm listening to it right now. I really love her albums "Monster", "The Fame Monster" and "Born This Way". I hope, "ARTPOP" is going to be the same cool.
Ah, nearly forgot! Today's been the first snow! The winter is coming and all the jazz. Yeah, it's pretty damn cold outside!
So, sweeties, get your song of the day and go. I should sleep a bit.

During The Vacation

Though I've got the whole week to rest, it seems so little! Almost all my days are already busy (as usual), but anyway it's better than going to school. Yesterday I had a walk with my friends, today I've taken photos for my American visa (and walked with my music friend too). Tomorrow it's going to be a wail with music friends too, if one of them will be able to take a day off from her permament business. What about Thursday, I don't know right now, and Friday!.. Oh, it's about to be a great day! I'll receive my dear guests again, and it'll be big dinner! We'll cook potato and milk steamer ("babyccino"), and have fun, of course. One of our friends will have just arrived from Korea Republic, so he'll have lots of things to tell us.
I haven't recieved letters from Antonio for a long time, so I guess I should write him, shouldn't I? The case when it's ok when a girl write first. But actually I've never felt wrong or so about calling a boy first. What a prejudice! Well, coming back to my email-friend, Antonio will envy I'm having holidays.
I haven't sent you pictures for some time, and here I'm improving this mistake.

Vintage girls, I love them :3
Beautiful association for Disney's Alice...
... and for Aurora. There're other amazing pics for
the other princess also
Three Graces by Raphael

Unbelievable Beyonce (I simply adore that photoset) and lovely roses as I like
Positive Josh Hutcherson

Handsome Tom Felton (a rare man in my blog,  appreciate it) and a image of the kind I like again
I took this photo some weeks ago, but putting it
only now
And the song of the day, or maybe of  the whole week, will be a fabulous song "Wolf And I" by the Danish singer-songwriter Oh Land. To tell the truth, I've thought "Oh Land" is a music band, not a stage name of the woman. Whatever it is, fell for the song! I can't help listening!

Amazing Handmade

4
As I promised, I'm going to tell you about my new shirt, which I decorated by myself yesterday. So, let's go!
Firstly, prepare everything you need for work. These things are:

  1. A shirt (better not multicolour, but sometimes many colours can be good too)
  2. Square strasses (I had 12 pieces), beads and bugle beads
  3. A needle for the beads
  4. Thread in colour of the strasses and beads
  5. Also scissors and a pencil
Here we go! I started with the corners of the collar. I sewed the strasses along the the edge, and put the rest strass between the rows.

'Before' and 'After'
Do the same for the 2nd corner. Don't be afraid of doing mistakes - you can always correct it. Also sew everything tight, so your work will make you happy for a long time.
Actually only decorated corners look incredible, but it wasn't enough for me. My next step was a small cross on the right side. You can see, the cross isn't difficult in implementation: take a bugle bead for each side and the top and 2 bugle beads for the lower part. I left the middle place empty, but you can sew the bugle beads closer or put there a bead.

Then it goes the hardest part - a word on the back part of the collar made with the beads. But it's worth it! Firstly write the word you've chosen on the place where it's going to be with the pencil. Don't write thick, or it will be seen even though the beads. And here we start, bead by bead...

By the way, my word is "sempre".
From Italian it means "always"

Finally in the end my shirt became super cool, I'm really proud of myself, even though I had to sacrifice my hours of sleeping.  But today my friends at school have liked my masterpiece :D Aaand sooo here I go!

Happy End!:D

Be brave and creative!

We're not broken, just bent

1
Since today I can eat sweets and citrus fruits again! And can finally wash my hand without doubt! Yey! So I'm having a little celebration right now with yummies! :D

My education goes good, excepting that "the soul of the class" has gone to rest just today. Our class-teacher was wrong telling he was going to go abroad, because he was going just to another Russian region. Do I really write much about him?
Stadio Italiano bene, but I must learn more words. And probably in some months I'll write my posts in Italian. :D
On movie-Thorsday my friend and I watched "Prometheus". It's really nice science fiction movie, thrilling and charming! In the end we found out that the film is a prequel to 1979 science fiction horror film "Alien". Well, I haven't seen "Alien" yet.
And the song of the day will be simply amazing, marvellous song "Just Give Me A Reason" by Pink feat. Nate Ruess (the adorable soloist from "fun."). Aaaah! I'm adicted to this song! I can already sing it to the accompaniment of the piano or the guitar, I've done 'em all :D
I give you exactly a live version, because they're just ubelievable!

Be brave! We can learn to love again!

P.S. It's raining outside! Rain! Maybe, it's an usual thing for some areas, but now for our snowy island! It rained in December, and then now. Winter is so winter...

Lana - American. Funny Geometry. Italiano

Yeah, today's song of the day is relaxing "American" by my favourite Lana Del Rey. Get it! *O*

I can't eat sweets, citrus fruit and wash and scratch a part of my left arm because of the Mantoux test. Aaaah, I will able to do all these things only on Friday! The most difficult thing is not to eat sweets! I adore sweets! Actually, you know, you can eat everything, but less than usually. So as a bad girl, I've just eaten a sweet. FUCK THE SYSTEM!
Tomorrow my friend and I will draw a poster for physics, because now there's a week of math and physics at school. So today, at the geometry lesson we've made these cool figures :3

My friend and I even have drawn some faces on the 3rd figure
Every pupil's made each own figures, I'm about that stencils haven't been common, everyone had to find in the Internet and then print for him/herself. If you're interested. My figures're called:
  1. octahedron
  2. octahedral pyramid
  3. truncated hexahedron
  4. and my madness LOL
At the weekend I finished reading a book about travels by one Russian author. Oh, it's so easy, funny and understandable! I must buy one more book by the author! She travels a lot due to her work, so she writes about it and what to do in deifferent situations.
My friend from my class will go abroad in some days for a bit more than 2 weeks, and we're going to miss him! Btw, he's the guy I'll dance waltz with, and we'll have only a couple of days to learn how to do it.
My Italian friend Antonio asked me, what is "prima coniugazione". Do I really correspond with Italian??
