Kiss Me Babe, It's Christmas Time

Brrr! Today I had a meeting with my student organisation (BTW, it's called STEP - Student Educational English Program), we prepared a bit for our up-coming New Year party. So when I got to the campus, I had to walk about 15 minutes more on feet, and then I felt the highest wind in my life. I finally learnt what Vladivostok winter means. Probably for the first time I felt my fingers neither of my hands, nor of my feet at all. That was tough! But I had been told beforehand that all those winds would happen. But here's a couple of photos from the meeting, my favourite ones.

Also today I got my first examination mark in my record-book and passed all the tests for aerobics. Tomorrow I'll have a final work for lexicon, the day after tomorrow - for grammar, the day after that day - for Latin. Here we go!
Keeping on posting Christmas songs, today's song is going to be one I heard just yesterday, but I liked it from the very beginning. It's a funny lively track by the band "Owl City", I've never heard of that band before. The song's title is "Kiss Me Babe, It's Christmas Time".
Moreover, I've chosen that song not just because I like it, but also because I need to temper the amount of Ariana Grande's Christmas songs here.

Well it’s Christmas time
And I’m warm inside
Despite the bitter cold

'Cause you're here with me
And I guarantee
My heart is yours to hold

So we smile below
This mistletoe
As if we need a hint

And the falling snow
Well I bet it knows
How love can pull you in

Oh oh oh
Little lights flash in your eyes
Glowing by the fireside

Leave the presents on the floor
'Cause you're the one I'm waiting for

Oh let me lead the way
This holiday

Let’s fly around the world tonight
Oh yeah
Kiss Me Babe, It’s Christmas Time

I love the way you hold me tight
Oh yeah
Kiss Me Babe, It’s Christmas Time

Little lights flash in your eyes
Kiss Me Babe, It’s Christmas Time

Can’t fight the way I feel inside
Kiss Me Babe, It’s Christmas Time

Oh let me lead the way
This holiday

Well it’s Christmas time
And I’m warm inside
Despite the bitter cold

And it’s crystal clear
That this Christmas cheer
Is healthy for the soul

Oh oh oh
Little lights flash in your eyes
Glowing by the fireside

Leave the presents on the floor
'Cause you're the one I'm waiting for

Oh let me lead the way
This holiday
This holiday

Let’s fly around the world tonight
Oh
Kiss Me Babe, It’s Christmas Time

I love the way you hold me tight
Oh yeah
Kiss Me Babe, It’s Christmas Time

Little lights flash in your eyes
Kiss Me Babe, It’s Christmas Time
Can’t fight the way I feel inside
Kiss Me Babe, It’s Christmas Time

Oh let me lead the way

Santa, Tell Me

OMG It's been almost a month since my last post, and moreover I've never described you my travel to Khabarovsk!! But on the other hand, it muthefucka my blog, so I'm da boss here, so I decide when I am not lazy to put my fingers on the keyboard.
Due to the fact that time has run out, I won't make it long about Khabarovsk. I'll just mention that it was AMAZING! The train ride was interesting, I'd never taken a train without parents before. On arriving in the city, Rodion, Cherry Lady and I walked around the main places of interest, then we hooked up with our Khabarovsk people - my bestie Dasha and Kostya - on the flat I had rented beforehand. Then we had a party. Out of the question.

Looking cool on the train, hah?

Must be my perfect photos - with both of my Dashas
The company
Lenina Square Pt 2
We spent there one night only, but having a blizzard the city changed magically. And having us, of course.
Talking about the other changes in my life, so I have joined a student organisation. My organisation is a teaching one, they train leaders-English teachers for the English summer camp for children. We'll be given information about sociology, conflictology and some other stuff about how to rule about 20 little devils during 21 days. As long as I want to become a tutor myself, I think this information will be more that helpful for me. Moreover, I'm going to meet I have already met plenty of new people, so eager to get to know them better. At our last meeting we had kinda a Christmas photoset, so I received a couple of fine photos.

I've got several more photos, so I'll try to mix them in
a new header for my blog
Here on the Russky island we have real winter with snow and high winds, when my parents and friends in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk had October weather in the beginning of December. I don't remember, if they have winter now, but it was ridiculous looking through photos from Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, where people wore hoodies, while it was snowing outside in Vladivostok. The world is so weird!
My studying is fine, the most of my marks will be put automatically. The last question is Latin - we're gonna have a semester test in the end of Saturday, I'm already nervous!
Another thing why I've decided to create a post is upcoming Christmas! I've come up with an idea posting Christmas songs I like every day until the Catholic Christmas. The first song I feel like sharing with you is the latest Christmas song by Ariana Grande called "Santa Tell Me". My favourite situation happened here: listening for the first time - not liking it. But now I keep it on repeat triggering off my New Year and Christmas mood. I didn't like the music video, Ariana seem to not wear any clothes at all by and by, but the song is really sweet. That's why take the lyrics video and have fun!

Santa, tell me if you're really there
Don't make me fall in love again if he won't be here
Next year
Santa, tell me if he really cares
'Cause I can't give it all away if he won't be here
Next year

Feeling Christmas all around
And I'm tryna' play it cool
But it's hard to focus when I see him walking 'cross the room
"Let It Snow" is blasting out
But I won't get in the mood
I'm avoiding every mistletoe until I know
It's true love that he thinks of
So next Christmas
I'm not all alone, boy

Santa, tell me if you're really there
Don't make me fall in love again if he won't be here
Next year
Santa, tell me if he really cares
'Cause I can't give it all away if he won't be here
Next year

I've been down this road before
Fell in love on Christmas night
But on New Year's Day I woke up and he wasn't by my side
Now I need someone to hold
Be my fire in the cold
But it's hard to tell if this is just a fling
Or if it's true love that he thinks of
So next Christmas
I'm not all alone, boy

Santa, tell me if you're really there
Don't make me fall in love again if he won't be here
Next year
Santa, tell me if he really cares
'Cause I can't give it all away if he won't be here
Next year

Oh, I wanna have him beside me like oh-oh-oh
On the 25th by the fireplace, oh-oh-oh
But I don't want a new broken heart
This year I've got to be smart

Oh, baby
If ya won't be, if ya won't be here!

Santa, tell me if you're really there
Don't make me fall in love again if he won't be here
Next year
Santa, tell me if he really cares
'Cause I can't give it all away if he won't be here
Next year

Santa, tell me if you're really there
Don't make me fall in love again if he won't be here
Next year
Santa, tell me if he really cares
'Cause I can't give it all away if he won't be here
Next year

Spring, Finally

This week is going so nice! Mostly because spring has finally come to our lost land too. The forecast says it's about +18 °C, we feel like taking our shorts out of our wardrobes and putting them on. But still we keep ourselves in hands, because Sakhalin weather is know to be highly changeable.
You won't believe, but there are still a few show 'hills' on the streets. But those hills are so dirty, that I think they can't melt because of thick layer of the dirt and the sun rays are too week to get through it. But of course, it'll all melt one day, but today is not that day definitely.
The time of cleaning territories out has come. Now during some lessons we work with spades and rakes getting read of the snow and last-year leaves. But we know how to do it the best way!

Yeah, who said we must work only?! And when tomorrow we take the tools again, I doubt we'll work too hard.
Today my English tutor went to Moscow to have a vacation, so I won't have any lessons till the 15th of May. But she handed out a lot of tasks to me, so I won't waste my time either. For example, I have to translate a page of any book (the more difficult, the better) from Russian into English without the dictionary or any other help. Also I have to read "The Canterville Ghost" by honey Oscar Wilde. Fortunately, the story is short enough for me to read it till the end as opposed to "The Picture of Dorian Grey". But I assure you, I want to finish the story of Mr. Grey!
And today Dasha and I have had such a great day! Right after school we went off to the closest "Subway" restaurant, then we had a big walk around the city. We took plenty of selfies, bombed the Instagram, so everyone knew we were having fun. And I chanced to take a couple of the sequence photos!

Probably, the most favourite function
The weather was *almost* HOTHOTHOT, we just sprawled about on the bench and receive the sun rays thankfully. I hope the weather will stay nice for the longest time as possible.
Only one months is left until the exams start! Gosh! I MUST start studying! But I'm held up by an invisible power called Laziness, so nothing in the world seems to make me learn history and read write literature.
The song of the day will be a themed song "Selfie" by The Chainsmokers dedicated to my Instagram day.

Be brave and let me take a selfie!

Once Upon A Sunday

Today before our shopping mom asked me to go to the park. Why not? Plus, I shouldn't have refused to the woman who was going to pay for all the things I'd choose. But this post's not about that, but about what interesting I've met during a short walk in our city park.

Snow Again. April No Fool. Dress Hunting.

And as usual I don't care it's been five days since the very start of current April already. Actually it sucks (like every spring month on our island). The last weeks of March were pretty nice, I even dared think it was spring! But now, "shut up, beotch" said spring, and it's been a blizzard this morning. April snowstorm, YEY! I remember, a year or two ago that sht happened too.

Spring As We Know It

Well, I doubt if I can call it "almost here". This "almost here" will come in the mid of April, but comparing to a whole year, so yup, it's soon enough. You know, yesterday I got the best end of a month I'd ever had, but today's start of another month was just a simple day, even too sleepy.

Snowboarding Girl

OH MAN UNBELIEVABLE OXOXO YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE!!!
I'm ready to write the whole post with Caps Lock on, but I'm a good girl, so I'll be polite and let you read an adequate text.
Sooo, as you may understand on reading the title, today I've start snowboarding for the very first time! I won't describe how it boiled down to my snowboarding today, I say only that I hadn't expected riding today. At least tomorrow, but the destiny decided "You shall not wait!" (fortunately, I'd decided to wear sport clothes) and here I went with the equipment rent at the place. BTW, I was given a super nice board, exactly for my style.

Blizzard In A Nutshell

What a blizzard outside! Still my friend and I were crazy enough to try our luck at going to school. You see, we hadn't been called beforehand, that's why we didn't know whether to go or not, and being too responsible we went out struggling with the wind and the snow. Fortunately I even didn't reach the school as the friend called me and told to rush back home. So I can say I went out at 8 a.m. just to take a photo.

Chatting Over Tea

Lazy crazy days... I've realized that since Monday I've been waking up with my alarm clock, so that means my days aren't so lazy, I have plans.

Big Christmas Time

I've been too busy these days, so here's a little chronicle of mine.

25.12.2013
Hey, it was Catholic Christmas! My congratulations! But still it was the busiest day of the day - I had too many things to do. I was at school for a longer time than usual because we, girls, had to finish sewing the suits of the boys. In the evening we had a party with the chorus, so Dasha and I had only about 3 hours before it to do everything each of us needed and... dye my hair. Yup! It was my aim #1 that day. I wanted to make a surprise for everyone at chorus and at school the next day, so I hadn't told no one about my plans to make the ends of my hair be red again. Expecting my worries about the lack of the time, my friend and I had no problem with the execution of my idea. Ah, well, she dyed me a little bit awry, but it's not a big deal.

We used up my American hair-dye; it was "Punky Colour" Vermilion Red by "Jerome Russell". If I knew it would be so cool and I would like it so much, I'd buy more jars with different colours. We didn't brighten my hair this time, so red ends don't look so synthetic now as it was past August. After making dip dye, I prepared quickly to go to the chorus. Certainly, I put my new dress on. Frankly speaking, everyone liked my look. (Yeah, I've been lazy to cut some photos up)

26.12.2013
OH GOD the day came. This day is a big day of our New Year performances. I had to wake up at 6 a.m. (though usually I try to raise my ass an hour later) to fix myself up generally, handle with the hair-rollers and put false eyelashes on. We'd been told to come to school by 8 o'clock, and all the madness started at 9 a.m. We spent only 3-5 minutes for our dance of snowmen and snowflakes, but we had to repeat it every hour and, what is the most draining, we had to wait. We ate, wandered around the school, took photos. Also there was a disco after the play for each parallels of the classes, and to make children move we joined their discos. And there we were rocking the fuck out. I guess, many pupils didn't dance because they watched how we did it! We had 6 performances, and we taught 'em how to rock at 5 discos ( simply because we missed the 1st one for the 5th grades). Dasha instagrammed how we were improvising "Gangnam Style" for the 7th grades - clickclickclick
I don't know if the pupils liked our stuff, but we did, generally. The main idea of the play was that it was played only by the senior students. Our organizer just helped us to do that, some teachers sewed costumes. You see, usually teachers performed different plays to us, and this year we did everything by ourselves.

I've downloaded some photos of our dance taken by another girl.

You can recognize me with my white band and
curly half-red ends

Disco-part of our trick

You will be surprised what song had been chosen for the fast part of our dance. Check it! It hits my brain, I think I'll literally throw up if I hear this song one more time.

27.12.2013
Oh man, the last day of the school this year! Yey! I got all A's, super excellent, though everyone knows my math isn't so good. We had only three lessons, I presented everything I'd prepared to my friends and teachers. Then I came home and SLEPT! ALL DAY!
Now I remembered Dasha made some awesome stuff for me, and I've made it. I've already posted about that new Internet trend, it's so funny!

I have some series to watch their Christmas episodes. Firstly, I'm gonna watch "Doctor Who"; other Whovians would kill me because of the fact of not having watched the episode. You should know that Mr. Capaldi appears there.
What about the song of the day, so I'll put here what I wanted to do on 25th December. TSOTD is going to be my favourite Christmas song called "Last Christmas", and you can pick out your own favourite version.

Be brave this Christmas and give hearts to right hands

New Dress. Being Snowflake.

Hey there! My Sunday was full of various stuff, and here it goes.
In the morning (I can call it 'morning') my mom and I went to the shop because according to her she'd saw a nice dress for me (we still keep on looking for a dress for the prom). But mom turned out to pick dresses out for herself, and it made me mad! In the end I found a dress to try out (and even burst out crying in the fitting-room). The dress were too warm to be called "prom dress". Of course it was! - now Christmas time, and there are piles of dresses made of tough fabrics, they are meant to be worn in winter and autumn. But mom decided to made a New Year's present for me and bought it. Yey! Now I've got a new beautiful dress! It's so classy! But frankly the material, the dress is made of, reminds me a carpet LOL

What my happiness about the dress fell off, I started sewing... a skirt for my snowflake suit! I did it absolutely "hand-made", because I had no sewing-machine and didn't want to ask someone's help - if you want to do something well, do it yourself! And well, I did. But instead of a puffy skirt I got a tulip-form one - just because I sewed the layers in a wrong way. Anyway, it's pretty puff, but not in the way you may think of the snowflake. Maybe, tomorrow I'll try doing something else with the skirt, but it's unlikely.

My Markiza really liked the cloth

A ready-made skirt being fixed up

And here I am a snowflake! Couldn't help Instagramming. As you can see, I also decorated my top; earlier I bought white tights, and today I've bought white ballet shoes. This top silver bolero I bought 2 or 3 years ago, but yesterday I finally cut a flower off from it - snowflakes don't have flowers! And if you've mentioned this shining something on my head, so it's kinda a crown, fitting perfectly for snowflake's role.

While I was making my super skirt, my parents fixed our fir-tree up. It became so nice and festive! Even though our firs aren't so luxurious as there're in the USA, but still they're so fine and homey.

Today I've been informed my holy friend Ilya and I will participate in the region stage of the Olympiad for English. Atta guys!
The song of the day will be "Sexxx Dreams" by Lady Gaga from her latest album. I know I made it TSOTD already, but I've been listening to this song all day long and can do nothing with that.

Be brave! Have nice dreams!
