Bye-bye, School Life

My Internet lets me down these days, the most important days in my teenage life.
On 23.05.2014 as it had been planned my classmates and I had the Day of Childhood. The Day of Childhood is considered to be the last day of one's childhood and the start of the fully adult life. Usually that day is really funny and highly sentimental. So was ours. At two first lessons we handmade a paper medal for our parents thanking them for what they'd done for us. At the third lesson we visited the first form; little pupils performed a cute play for us, we sang some children's song together. It was so marvelous, cute and funny! Then we all together headed to our assembly hall to gather there with other 2 classes (or, to be more exact, with other 4 classes - 11th and 1st ones). We play several games, danced and gifted little symbolic presents to each other: we, seniors, presented each child a lucky balloon, and children gave us lucky coins. And then... the most epic thing in my life happened. The saddest song about leaving childhood playing, the first-formers was walking away still looking and waving at us. I kept my tears saving them for the next day.

I wonder if the Day of Childhood
was the reason I'd bought
the Minnie Mouse ears
I adore this photo! Just look at my face!
And the next day was one of the most important days of my life - the Last bell event itself. It was the day we finally said a farewell to our school. Actually I though I would cry a river over leaving my school. But I did not. I didn't cry!! BTW, I've never changed schools, so I attended this bureau of the hell patriotically for 11 years in a row. Well, of course it was so nervous, sad and exciting, because I gave a part of my life to it, I met my awesome friends there. But it's over for now, and somehow I end up thinking I'm glad this is the end. Looking back, I remember my friends me in the 7th or 8th grades wishing so hard for this school period to be done. Maybe days back it wasn't the same, but now my clear mind understand I won't miss those walls, my teachers (except some of my true favourites), those classes. But it's freaking pity we, friends, all have to say goodbye to each other. My people are the ones I will truly miss. Some of my mates are going to leave Russia for other places of the world, so I can only pray for Skype and other Internet powers. I hope we'll hook up during holidays, when we're all back on Sakhalin, so we shall see. All in all, leaving my guys is the thing I'll absolutely cry a river over.

Oh man, I look twelve!
Me and my class teacher
My parents and I
My sweethearts

From left to right: my nice classmate, OTR a.k.a. my friend Ilya
and me in person
What about the event itself, so it was boring, sentimental, nice, so generally as it was meant to be. Our administration delivered speeches, we sang funny songs about our teachers and danced a waltz. Huh, the waltz was pretty fine, though my boy and I made a little mistake in the end. After all everybody was taking plenty of photos (you may notice, may not you?). But our celebration wasn't over with that. Even though it was raining and awfully cold, we headed to the country. Everyone took warmer coats, parents taking care of what we were supposed to eat, a big bus took us out of town. Some people decided to leave our superb party before others, but the most of my friends and I stood strong and cheerfully, so we survived the whole day, ate amazing food cooked on the fire, and so we all had fun. Our boys even grilled bananas! (see the picture below)

The tent we hid in
All Sunday (25.05.2014) I spent in my bed preparing to the first state finale exam - for literature. And on the next day I had it indeed. I couldn't believe I was having that state exam we all had been frightened of; I actually thought I was going to another Olympiad. The atmosphere was fine, but not strict at all. So I wrote everything, hopefully I got stuff I read and knew, so the exam was pretty ok for me. The results are gonna be received on about the 6th of June, so I deeply hope I'll be great.
Tomorrow I'll pass my second examination - for Russian this time. I don't worry much about it, because I've been prepared for it in a really awesome way, so I'm sure I'll do it easily. Well, I can't be too self-confident t also, but still I consider Russian as one of the easiest subject for me. BTW, I officially decided not to pass history. I won't write it, because I'm not so sure here about my knowledge in the historical field. And if I gain less than 60 points for history, so firstly, I won't cross a minimal threshold according my potential university rule, secondly, I won't get a special regional prize. All in all, I though hard and ended up making my life an easier thing. Sooo, wish me luck!
Oh, and the song of the day! This song is actually on my mind for the entire week or even more - "Say Something" originally by the band "A Great Big World" feat. Christina Aguilera, but I also listen to an amazing version by Pentatonix. Have the both!

I'm Your Biggest Fan

But I won't stop until that boy is mine
Lady Gaga, "Paparazzi"

Hey, guys! Happy Halloween! While a half of the planet is celebrating the day of the dead wearing cool suits, I do nothing extraordinary. Therefore I'll make here kinda fan-space. Nothing special, but my favourite fan-arts. And a good old song I lately became obsessed with.

Be brave!

P.S. Yeah, it may look like Lanapocalypse.
P.P.S. "THE CARRIE DIARIES" SEASON 2 HAS STARTED! I'm so excited! Have just watched the 1st episode, and it's so coooool!

For those, who wait

Good things come for boys who wait
"Candyman", Christina Aguilera

I haven't got the access to my laptop almost for a whole day, but now here I go.
Today I've returned to school after my short sick leave, and guess what? Instead of 5 lessons we had only 3, and I can easily say I've just met my friends and had some rest! Even after school while I've been shopping with my friend I've got tired more.
But I haven't totally been satisfied with myself on my English tutor's lesson, I've been absolutely dumb. I couldn't find words, read well, totally forgot simple rules and etc. I won't have a lesson next Tuesday, so it means I should prepare in depth not to appear as a dull one again LOL
Talking about next Tuesday, we won't study again because of exams (fortunately, we pass nothing this year). That's actually the only reason I love spring - lots of days off. But all  this dirt on the streets make me look like the Grumpy Cat. BTW, I've just found the most awesome nail art with this kitty! Here's the link and the pic!

Oh, let this cool blog about nail art be today's Very Interesting Blog! You know, I love it so much. Well, come on, girls, check it out -

Moreover, I'm putting some my regular images for you, today they're all from the Lingualeo.com site.

Should book this one

While I was going home from English lesson, I thought the song of the day would be Pink's one, but now, as you see, whose quote is in the epigraph, it's easy to understand that the song of the day is droll and rocking "Candyman" by fabulous Christina Aguilera!

Tarzan and Jane were swingin' on a vine!
Sippin' from a bottle of vodka double wine!
Jane lost her grip and down she fell!
Squared herself away as she let out a yell!

☼ Be brave and dance all night long ☼

P.S. It's time to watch the new "Glee" episode!

All I Wanna Do

Ah, tomorrow I'll come back at school. But actually, I don't worry about it, because I'll meet my friends again, which have become very close for me. And I'm very very happy about my vacation, even though it's ending. I'm so glad how it has been, because it's been one of my best vacation ever! Although my best friend hasn't been here, with me; but every day we've talked through the Skype. And right now she's controlling my typing here :D
Some days ago I've found out a cool game "Band Stars" Beta, where you have to create a music band and make music itself. I really like it, though "people" there look strange, but it's funny, isn't it? You also have to do different tasks to earn bonuses and coins. Here's the link for the game: https://bandstarsgame.appspot.com/
The weather is really frosty and cold nowadays here, and it's going to be so till 19.01 or so. It calls here Epiphany Frosts, so everyone have to put all the warm clothes on.
The song of the day will be "Your Body" by Christina Aguilera from her last album "Lotos", which I've done a review for. I like and the original song, and even more I like the official remix from Deluxe edition by Martin Garrix. I put here the both version. Like it!

All I wanna do is love your body!

LOTUS - Review

Hey guys! Yesterday I finally bought the latest album "Lotus" by Christina Aguilera (deluxe edition). The album contains 13 tracks, plus 3 bonus tracks from Deluxe Edition. To tell the truth, I found myself not very excited about it. Let me tell you in detail about my feels.

In general, the album's worth being listened to, but in my oppinion, Christina kinda shouts out a lot there. Of course, she's got a strong voice, one of the strongest in the world, but maybe, it's the editing, anyway, I think there's too much shouts.
Now I'm going to mark out some songs I really like.

  1. Firstly, it's "Cease Fire".This song became my favourite from the album since the first listening. CF is very powerful, so even the screaming in the begining can't spoil it.
  2. My secong favourite song is "Best Of Me". I call songs like this "songs for self-affirmation". It's not sarcasm, no, I like these songs. And BOF is very cool, therefore I like it. Also there're more "songs for self-affirmation" in "Lotus", are "Army Of Me" and "Empty Words" (below about EW).
  3. Next song is from Delux Edition Bonus Tracks, and the title is "Light Up The Sky". The song is nice, but I must admit much shout again.
  4. "Empty Words" is also a fine song. It's good on going somewhere for the background. As I've said above, EW is one more sone for self-affirmation. When you're upset, the song can help a bit.
  5. And, certainly, I must mark out "Your Body", the first single from "Lotus". Here the screaming suits pretty well. What about singles from the album, there's also "Just A Fool" feat. Blake Shelton as one, but I think Ms. Aguilera should do more singles, or even just "Cease Fire".
  6. Also I must say that the intro "Lotus" is very awesome.
Now I must tell you about my biggest disappointment. It is "Blank Page", one of the 2 ballads of the album. Probably, I disappoint it, because I'd listened to the demo version from Sia (one of the authors of BP) with another lyrics. And the version of Sia is AMAZING! Even though she kinda shouts out there too, but it's another kind of shouting, it's exactly singing! And I was very excited to listen to Christina's version. So when I finally heard it... it wasn't what I'd been waiting for. TOO MUCH SHOUT! When I sing like this, my teacher tells me: "Olga, don't shout out!" So what can I say about Aguilera?
Match the snippet of the demo by Sia and Christina's "Blank Page":

Sia's version

Whole album version

Generally, I agree with the critics, which say that it's "a good start in the effort to refocus attention on Aguilera's skills", but observed "several tracks that sound mindlessly repetitive as sedentary listening experiences" and call it "generic" and felt that "nothing really stands out". Moreover I like the expression that the album's "self-empowerment anthems ... as contradictory as they are unoriginal". As I've said! So I would give "Lotus" 3 stars from 5, as The IndependentThe Observer and some others did.
And to sum up, the song of the day (and of the album for myself) will be "Cease Fire" by the main character of my post. Check out!

The First Day Of The Winter. The 2nd Step Of English.

Guys! Congratulate me! I've succesfully pass the 1st stage of our English Olimpiad within city's pupils for listening, reading and writing. So tomorrow I'll be examined for speaking, and frankly, I'm a bit nervous. Wish me good luck!
Only today I've found out that an amazing Rihanna's song "Diamonds" was written by Sia!! I'm very pleasently surprised, because, you know, Sia is one of my favourite singers as well as Rihanna. I know Sia has written songs also for Ms. Aguilera's albums "Bionic" and new "Lotos". Generally I know Christina has a good buisness relationship with Sia. But let's return to "Diamonds". Here's a video with Sia singing the song. I think, it's adorable.

Also I must congratulate with the beggining of the winter! What do you expect of it? The end of the world? Or the greatest celebration of new year? Or, maybe, something new? Therefore the song of the day will be "Something New" by gorgeous "Girls Aloud". Get it!

The song of the day♥

Sweet love, so pure

Today I'm going to small city Korsakov with my choir to perform. But my new friend Andrey have gone to town Nevelsk with our orchestra today in the morning. And I want to see him so much. I'm glad tomorrow we we'll go to some city or town together with orchestra. I'm afraid we won't meet after music session ever, and I try to be closer and so much friendly to him.
And I dedicate "Bound To You by Christina Aguilera to all my feelings.
This song is from "Burlesque". And this movie is SO BEAUTIFUL at all! But my favorite moment is "Bound To You"

I finally found my way.
I am bound to you,
I am bound to you.

Turn on the music now!

Hi everyone! Today I wanna talking about my favourite theme - music. Usually I listen to different music styles: pop, rock, jazz, soul, classic... My most favourite singers are Katy Perry, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Sia.

They have brilliant voices! Oh, I've forgotten about my favourite band "3Oh!3"! They are 2 realy cool guys. And I'm especially glad to listen to the song "Starstruck" with Katy Parry.

What about classic? I like to listen to russian classics: Mussorgsky, Tchaikovsky... But also I like Vivaldi and Bethoven.

Vivaldi

Bethoven

And what's your favourite singer or band? And style?
