School is over! Well, till September. But in any case we have a little time to spend it great and not to forget about coming summer. What plans do you have for these awesome days?
Right now I'm watching a good film "The Perks of Being a Wallflower". So cute! But be glad - I can't tell any spoilers now, because I don't know the end myself too.
Congratulations, guys - my friend's got her Coca-Cola glasses today!
Gotta admit, it's become Ok for me to wash the dishes, because actually I hate cleaning up the flat, washing dishes and all this house stuff. And now that means I can wash the dishes without booing. Maybe, one day I'll mop the floor and give the rooms a dust pretty calmer that now, but I suppose when the golden moment comes, it'll be the time to changes my homes.
Tomorrow is about to be an amazing day, 'cause I'll spend time with my dear friends outside, in the park, so I hope the weather will be nice as well as today.
And the song of the day, I want it to be something good and sweet, because of the atmosphere I've got out of the movie I'm watching. I offer a song by "The Beatles" I really love - "Strawberry Fields Forever".
Tomorrow our school days will be finally officially over for this academic year!
And today my mom I've been o the concert of a dance group which works with our chorus. We went to China with some guys from the collective, they're really nice.
My friend trys to get Coca-Cola glasses, but the lack of th glasses at the place prevents her. Let's hope tomorow she'll get everything she need.
Aaah, it became warm, and all these abominable insects have come to our places, walking on my blanket and flying around my room. Oh God, it's the worst side of summer. The second bad side of summer is that it ends.
There's not so much to write about when I have a day off and do nothing (because when I do something, I can write twice, you remember). Therefore it's time for the song of the day.
Today it's "50 Ways To Say Goodbye" by sweet band "Train" (Sheldon loves trains). You will probably not find there all 50 ways, but Spanish melodies attracts. And the music video's cool:
My heart is paralyzed
My head was oversized
I'll take the high road like I should
You said it's meant to be
That it's not you, it's me
You're leaving now for my own good
That's cool, but if my friends ask where you are I'm gonna say
She went down in an airplane
Fried getting suntanned
Fell in a cement mixer full of quicksand
Help me, help me, I'm no good at goodbyes!
She met a shark under water
Fell and no one caught her
I returned everything I ever bought her
Help me, help me, I'm all out of lies
And ways to say you died
My pride still feels the sting
You were my everything
Some day I'll find a love like yours (a love like yours)
She'll think I'm Superman
Not super minivan
How could you leave on Yom Kippur?
That's cool, but if my friends ask where you are I'm gonna say
She was caught in a mudslide
Eaten by a lion
Got run over by a crappy purple Scion
Help me, help me, I'm no good at goodbyes!
She dried up in the desert
Drowned in a hot tub
Danced to death at an east side night club
Help me, help me, I'm all out of lies
And ways to say you died
I wanna live a thousand lives with you
I wanna be the one you're dying to love...
But you don't want to
That's cool, but if my friends ask where you are I'm gonna say
That's cool, but if my friends ask where you are I'm gonna say
I've just watched the movie "Midnight in Paris" by incredible Woody Allen. Oh, the film is maarvellous! ("The kiki is maarvellous") I've watched it certainly because of Tom Hiddleston. Then I've found out beautiful Marion Cotillard and Rachel McAdams take the parts there. In general, the movie's simply fabulous, "Midnight in Paris" received an enthusiastic critical response. For the next part of the discription let's go to the Wikipedia:
Taking place in Paris, the film follows Gil Pender, a screenwriter, who is forced to confront the shortcomings of his relationship with his materialistic fiancée and their divergent goals, which become increasingly exaggerated as he travels back in time each night at midnight. The movie explores themes of nostalgia and modernism. Thanks to the site, I'll continue. The movie mentions a lot of great people of that "lost generation": Francis Scott Fitzgerald (Tom Hiddleston) and his wife Zelda, Ernest Hemingway, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí and others.
BTW, the film made its debut at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. "Midnight in Paris" won several cool prizes, including an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Grammy. Isn't it great?
Well, the movie's blended perfectly with my thoughts about Mr. Fitzgerald and his Gatsby, Mr. Hiddleston and Festival de Cannes. A coincidence or destiny?
Soon I'll learn to distinguish films by Allen from others, because it's the 2nd movie by this famous director I've seen; the 1st one is "To Rome With Love" starring Alec Baldwin, cute Jesse Eisenberg, Penélope Cruz and Woody Allen himself. My mom and I was laughing a lot watching it.
What about other Allen's works, so I want to watch "Vicky Cristina Barcelona".
This is my second post for the day, and this is the second time I mention Tom Hiddleston. Let me remember what movies starring him I've seen:
The first time I saw Tom at all was "War Horse" with Benedict Cumberbatch. Hiddleston played Captain Nicholls, and I didn't know that cute guy is OMG TOM HIDDLESTON
The second time I ran into this actor was "The Avengers". I watched the movie with my friend in the cinema and told her: "Hey, I've already seen him with Benedict!"
Then I started to familiarize with the world of Marvel and the world of Tom Hiddleston, so the next movie I watched was "Thor". Generally, it's rediculous I watched "Thor", "Iron Man" and "The Captain America" only after "The Avengers". It's the nature of me.
And here goes "Midnight in Paris" - my today's exploration
I know there's a big BBC project "The Hollow Crown" based on the plays by William Shakespeare, and Mr. Hiddleston appears there as Henry V, but shame on me, I watched only the 1st part of the series - a film about Richard II played by Ben Whishaw. Yeah, now you know why I watched. When I was watching it I thought it's a little bit boring, but now I understand it's so great.
If you think I like every film I watch, so you go a wrong path. For example, I definitely dislike "Marmaduke". Definitely. It's dull in my oppinion.
Well well well, also today we talk about Cannes! Yesterday I scrolled through some photos from the red carpet of the Festival paying my attention to the dresses. I hope I'll find an idea for my prom's dress. Yes, I know it'll be only in a year, but time goes by so fast. So here's some looks I like:
The black dress on Audrey Tautou is my favourite. I'd like to have something like this, but not black. I don't know what colour I want, but not black. And yes, 2 last dresses look alike very much, but anyway they're different. Girls understand.
According to the title, here's some pictures for you, as usual. Photos of Tom Hiddleston from Cannes:
Moreover, while Thomas has fun in France, Ian Somerhalder had fun in Moscow a day or two ago. Today I'm going to watch a late night show with him.
Ouch, I promised you the song of the day... Let inject some Brazilian music in my blog, and I introduce Cartola with his song "Preciso me encontrar". Enjoy!
Fuck my class master, we HAVE HAD lessons today! Well, it was a free time and chemistry, but anyway we'll have to go to school on the 31th of May too! Damn it, I've lost a bet to my friend.
Yesterday the friend, my best friend and I went for a walk, and we were in the park, so today all my people asked me something like "How could you be there? There're ticks!" Oh man, what the ticks? Everything was so fine.
Talking about "Oh man". My English tutor gave me an article with an interesting title "Oh, man! Living the high life in Oman" some lessons ago. I thought it was an old article, but then I found it in the space of the Internet, and the article about the resort in Oman was published only on the 9th May this 2013 on the web-site of "Washington Post". Actually, the author did his work very well, he writes pretty fascinating, but I've understood I can't translate it in a good way in Russian immediatly, I need time to choose good literary expressions. And when I make a translation not instantly, it becomes nice.
Actually I haven't seen the movie "Lost In Translation", but maybe one day the time will come. Hey, Festival de Cannes is on. I've read there was a premier of the movie with adorable Tom Hiddleston I want to watch now. The movie is "Only Lovers Left Alive", and OH MY GOD the Russian premier will be only in December! Why is it so long to waaaait?? I won't use holy Internet to precipitate. In general, the story's about vampires, love and art - a classic set. Besides Tom Hiddleston, Tilda Swinton, Mia Wasikowska, John Hurt and our Russian guy Anton Yelchin appear there.
At least I haven't seen "The Great Gatsby" yet!! I seem to know probably every little thing about the movie, but I haven't watched it! So little time's left to watch it in the cinema.
I won't name the song of the day, because our day has only started. Right now I'm listening to gorgeous Lana Del Rey. Let you do it too.
Hi there!
I couldn't use my Internet for a couple of days because I didn't pay for it on time. But here I go.
On Sunday my music friend, a school leaver, had a "last bell". It means they don't have lessons anymore and wait and prepare till their final exams. She'd invited our mutual music friend and me, but we couldn't come.
Also that day my "godbrother" had his Birthday, he turned 17. Actually I didn't want to go there, but his mother and he himself had simply forced me. Well, I was bored again.
Today I've spend my day off (not holiday yet) with my music friend (not a school leaver). We've been watching the 1st season of "Sherlock" BBC, but we haven't finished. Anyway we've had a good time, it's been so nice! She's shown me some cool videos I didn't watched because of my laziness.
Some days ago I discovered cool YouTube guys named "Pentatonix". They sing a capello their own compositions and make covers. I found out them with this one:
Aren't they cute? "Pentatonix" has won a glut of prizes in various competitions.
Tomorrow I'll have a day off too, but it doesn't cancel my English lesson. The day after tomorrow I'll have the last day of education, and TA-DA! Here comes our summer holidays!!!
Talking about summer, I must admit the weather outside has got much better during last weekend. I can say it's even hot. For May on Sakhalin. I can't wait to wear my new clothes.
And the song of the day... Has "Undisclosed Desires" by unbelievable "Muse" already been TSOTD? Even if yes, today they're on top too.
I think this song's dedicated to "1984" too as well as "Resistance" and many songs from the album "The Resistance". This book had effected on the guys a lot that time.
I have 2 kinds of news: good and bad, - a classic set.
I'd like to start with a bad one. My cousine swindled me, my teacher and her family. It's so horrible! I wonder if she ever dares to call me one more time now. People are always right saying "Trust but verify". All's for the best.
Close sad mood! There're more good news. Firstly, almost everything's done for my travel to the USA; the only things to do are to change money to dollars and go! Secondly, I'm going to be an excellent pupil this year, no 4/B - only the best marks, even for chemistry and economics! WHO DA BOSS HERE?!
Tomorrow I'll perform with the chorus, and I won't miss my economics lesson - too bad. Also tomorrow I should bring all the documets for my header to organize my presence with them in Japan. Oh damn, I have to fill in an abstract about myself. It's a mere trifle, but in any case it takes some time. If everything's OK, I'll go to Japan in 10 days after my arriving home from the USA.
I've just eaten a mountain of sweets and don't give a shit.
The weather's absolutely aweful. No, there's no snow finally, but it's still cold to the core.
My friend sent me some cool music, and these guys are Woodkid. Strange that I haven't listen to them earlier. There're songs I like the most.
And the song of the day will be their song "Ghost Lights", so great.
Waking up in a world surrounded by flames
Where everything I liked is about to fade
How could you be the one if you're not the same
If in the hands of gods you have lost your way
How ever fast I dance to make the sun shine
I will never fall down
No matter what it takes, I'll try to save the ghost lights
How ever hard I pray to remake you mine
I will never feel down
No matter what it takes, I'll try to save the ghost lights
Waking up in the fog, the dust and the pain
And of the sunny days, no traces remain
How could you be the one if you sail away
Without you I can't stand the sound of the rain
How ever fast I dance to make the sun shine
I will never fall down
No matter what it takes, I'll try to save the ghost lights
How ever hard I pray to remake you mine
I will never feel down
No matter what it takes, I'll try to save the ghost lights
How ever fast I dance to make the sun shine
I will never fall down
No matter what it takes, I'll try to save the ghost lights
How ever hard I pray to remake you mine
I will never feel down
No matter what it takes, I'll try to save the ghost lights
Moreover the friend gave me a pic I want to share with you
Finally I've the rest of the power to write about some movies I've seen lately.
A week ago I watched a miraculous movie "New Year's Eve". Yeah, don't be surprised I watched it in the mid of May, Russian TV likes so. I'd wanted to watch the film for a long time, and here the occasion appeared. The main aim was to see pretty Lea Michele not as Rachel Berry, and Lie was so cool. Also Zac Efron and Ashton Kutcher were awsome and sweet, typical stuff for girls. A line recalling "Sex and The City" in our mind from the mouth of Sarah Jessica Parker was hilarious enough, am I right?
End up, I laughed and cried, shortly - liked the movie.
The next movie is a Russian biographic drama"Legend #17". It's about Valeri Kharlamov, a famous incredible Soviet ice hockey player. I'd never thought I'd like a film about ice hockey and their players, but Russian cinematography happened to change my mind.
Also I've watched a short ITV series "Lost In Austen", 2008. It's a fantasy adaptation of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Loosely following the novel plot, modern Amanda enters through a portal in her bathroom, to join the Bennet family and affect events disastrously. (Thanks, Wikipedia, as usually). It has 4 parts and uncertain end, but anyways it doesn't spoil the whole series. Moreover, Mrs. Bennet's played by River Song! Of course, you understand me - Alex Kingston takes the part of the mother.
The last thing I'd like to tell is that I've watched an episode of the 2nd season of "The Hour". Unfortunately, the series is going to be... closed. So pity, true true. Even though it's dark, sometimes hard to understand, but still interestind. BBC itself says to love this show, but they had to choose. Maybe, they will resurrect it later? BTW Ben commented to like this show and his character too.
And the song of the day will be one more song from the soundtrack of "The Great Gatsby". It's "Bang Bang" by funny Will.I.Am, actually the premiere - the music video was uploaded on the singer's VEVO YouTube channel only about 15 hours ago!
(Verse)
I love her, can’t leave her,
Forever I’ll always need her,
She lie, but I believe her,
Lovesick I got that fever.
Love stupid, I know it,
Love stupid, I know it,
I know, cause I’m a fool in love.
My baby shot me down again,
Shot me down with the love and it go bang bang.
That girl’s a killer from a gang,
Shot me down with the love and it go bang bang.
And oh, I love her so, that’s why I gotta let her know
That I’ll be here for her to always love her down.
And maybe that’s the truth,
The clock can tick and ain’t no use,
I wonder when my tux can see you when you’re down.
(Chorus)
Bang, bang,
Got him with a bang,
Love him down, down
I shot my baby with a bang, bang,
Got him with a bang,
Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang.
Bang, bang,
Got him with a bang,
Love him down, down
I shot my baby with a bang, bang,
Got him with a bang,
Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang.
(Verse)
I love her, can’t leave her,
Forever I’ll always need her,
She lie, but I believe her,
Lovesick I got that fever.
Love stupid, I know it,
Love stupid, I know it,
I know, cause I’m a fool in love.
My baby shot me down, down, down, down
Shot me down with the love and it went pow-pow
I love my baby’s freaky style,
But my baby’s always sneaking out.
But damn, I love her so,
That’s why I gotta let her know
That I’ll be here for her, I’ll always be her man.
And baby, that’s the truth,
You’re my chick, bottlecruise,
I got that roof, I put that diamond on her hand.
(Chorus)
Bang, bang,
Got him with a bang,
Love him down, down
I shot my baby with a bang, bang,
Got him with a bang,
Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang.
Bang, bang,
Got him with a bang,
Love him down, down
I shot my baby with a bang, bang,
Got him with a bang,
Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang.
(Bridge)
Oh, yeah, I love my baby
Hey baby yeah I love you,
Stupid is what stupid do,
Tom and Jerry and Scooby Do,
Oh baby, I’m a fool for you.
Come here, baby, be my lollypop,
I make it better, make the booty drop.
Hey baby, can’t get you out my brains,
Damn girl, you’re such a sexy thing.
Pretty little lady
And my baby makes me go down down
My baby makes me go down down
My baby makes me go down down
My baby makes me go down down…
Plus here's the life performance of this song by Will.I.Am on American Idol
Yesterday I was too tired to write anything, though there were things to write about. Of course, I'm about the Grand Final of Eurovision Song Concert 2013! Grand Final is the only reason I wake up at 6 a.m. on Sunday once a year. And the Grand Final 2013 was nice too. You see, bookmakers and I were right giving Denmark the 1st place. Our girl Dina got the 5th position, but everyone thought she'd get a higher one.
Gladly the geographic system of voting didn't work this year, some results were really unexpectable. On the other hand, it's a little bit vexing that Russia didn't recieve a point from Azerbaijan.
Moreover, it was nice to see my favourite Eric Saade, helping the host Petra in the Green Room during the final of the Grand Final! [TAUTOLOGY-STYLE]
As far as you remember, I already made the winner song "Only Teardrops" the song of the day 2-3 posts ago. Therefore I offer you another song I like from Eurovision this year - it's "Tomorrow" by the paediatrician Gianluca Bezzina from Malta. My friend called him "local Mr. Schue", and I agree with her - they're the same cute.
Probably, I'm about to miss some lessons in the end of the week, and even my 'favourite' economics. I wonder if our economics teacher a.k.a. Red Beotch misses me.
Since yesterday I've been feeling myself like I'm ill, although I'm not. I hope I'm not. I don't know why, but yesterday after watching Eurovision I started feeling bad, and it hasn't stopped even today. Ok, I've got my sore throat since I was at the music school prom, because I could shout out there a lot, though I wouldn't say so. But how can I explain my all condition?
Be brave, don't get ill on the treshold of summer
P.S.
P.P.S. I watched the season final of "Doctor Who" and did understand nothing.
I've just come from the prom in my music school. Well, being polite, I can tell it was nice, but listen to me - we were better. Today we haven't even had dances! We haven't danced!! What a graduation party in our music school without dancing in our hall?! Our sound producer is God of this matter. Fine. I'm bringing the party here.
In general, the evening's been AMAZING. I've finally meet a friend of mine, the last time I saw her was the Christmas, I suppose. So, 3 crazy girls have been having fabulous time in their alma-mater, doing mad thing, laughing damn loud, enjoing each other.
Yey! Tomorrow's also a big day! There'll be a Grand Final of Eurovision Song Contest 2013! I wish good luck every participant I like, and Mother Russia as well, even though other countries should wish and better send her their wishes expressed in terms of points.
Guys, guys, guuuys! The 2nd semi-final has gone, so we know who will perform on Saturday (on Sunday for our time zone). So here they go:
Firstly, there're forever-competitors: the UK, France, Spain, Germany, Italy and the last year winner Sweden
Then we have the winners of the 1st semi-final: Moldova, Lithuania, Ireland, Estonia, Belarus, Denmark, Mother Russia, Belgium, Ukraine and the Netherlands
And the lastest winners of the 2nd semi-final: Hungary, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, Norway, Iceland, Armenia, Finland, Malta, Greece
It's pity the Swiss team didn't get through. I think the 95 year-old contrabass player was worth being in the Grand final.
My favourite song of the 2nd semi-final is funny "Marry Me" by the singer Krista Siegfrids from Finland. She'd written this song for her boyfriend hinting delicate. Also to support one sex marriege in her country, she [SPOILERS] kissed a girl on the stage! (aah, I'm singing Katy Perry's song while I'm typing it)
Today I've gone shopping with my friend, and my legs are ready to die. But I've bought things I wanted for a long time, so now I'm almost ready for summer! So I bought this:
A pin up top. Well, it looks better on me. Marina and the Diamonds would like
See the ring? I've got it too!
Plus gym-shoes with sweet flower print, but perhaps you'll see them on the photos.
The song of the days isn't "Marry Me". During the day my friend and I have "run into" the song by Adele called "Rolling In The Deep" several times, so it'll be the song of the day.
You know, "Glee" sang this amazing song as well, therefore here's their version.
Tomorrow I'll visit my music school, because I've been invited on the graduation party. I think, it's going to be excellent, because my best music friend and I need noone else to party, even if the party isn't ours. Go to hell, we are stars.
I'm so tired, my head's about to blow, but I have to do my economics homework! Hey! s h i t
Tomorrow morning my early bird being will exist again, because of the 2nd semi-final of Eurovision Contest! I'm so glad!
What about the 1st one, so frankly, guys, I bursted out crying, when the show was opening with Loreen, her song and all those children... So beautiful and sentimental, and I was so happy Eurovision's with us again!
I'm proud of our Russian competitor! Dina was so nice, she sang amazing, and the decoration was wonderful. I liked her performance more than her song's promotion and the music video. I'm sure she'll get a better result.
I'm not satisfied with the song from Belarus and their performance in general. In whole I loved the 1st semi-final, and hope the 2 step won't be worse.
And the song of the day will be a song I like, I really love more than others, and it's "Only Teardrops" by Emilie de Forest from Denmark! I wish Emilie and her crew good luck, can't help listening to this marvellous song.
The sky is red tonight
We’re on the edge tonight
No shooting star to guide us
Eye for an eye, why tear each other apart?
Please tell me why, why do we make it so hard?
Look at us now, we only got ourselves to blame
It’s such a shame
How many times can we win and lose?
How many times can we break the rules between us?
Only teardrops
How many times do we have to fight?
How many times till we get it right between us?
Only teardrops
So come and face me now
Here on the stage tonight
Let’s leave the past behind us
Eye for an eye, why tear each other apart?
Please tell me why, why do we make it so hard?
Look at us now, we only got ourselves to blame
It’s such a shame
Tell me
How many times can we win and lose?
How many times can we break the rules between us?
Only teardrops
How many times do we have to fight?
How many times till we get it right between us?
Only teardrops
(Tell me now) What’s gone between us has come between us
Only teardrops
(Tell me now) What’s gone between us has come between us
Today for the time of Europe and tomorrow for us the song contest Eurovision will begin. I've been a big fan of the event since 2009, and now I've already got my oppinion about the situation. What about the present competitors, I told about them a little bit here. So, tomorrow morning I, as an early bird, will be staring in the TV screen, looking for the new tracks for my play list. Surely, I could have done it already (holy Internet), but it's not in my best interest. Also, people call it spoilers.
By my own little tradition, I've changed my profile picture in the social network on the logo of Eurovision 2013. I've done it since 2011, when Germany held the competition.
I think you all know that Eurovision is not only about songs, but also about international "friendship". I don't remember a lot of points from Italy or Holland, for example, but here comes Ukrain, welcome, Azerbaijan. [EUROCOMMERCE] One smart guy has made a pretty easy diagram to find out who with whom, where, when, how. For the beginners.
Unfortunately, I can give up with my efforts to learn history, becuase to enter Russian Philology Department, I'll have to pass history successfully. I haven't told ya about philology, have I? Well, we've got some problems among our big family, so I should study on the budget basis in the university. Therefore I've found Philology Departments of Far East Federal University - for the Russian and foreign languages. I'll send my documents to both faculties, therefore I must be ready. Actually, it's easier to find yourself in FEFU, than in the universities of Moscow and St. Petersburg, where I've been longing to go to so much. [RUSSIAN COMMERCE]
Get my today's dose of pictures for... your time zone
Guess who?
The song of the day... Let it be my honey Katy Perry with a pretty melancholic song "Lost" for her 1st album "One Of The Boys".
Today we've had no rehearsal, though I wasn't given any notice beforehand. Well, I've had a good walk.
Also today's been our 1st day without male individuals, and it's been quite boring; moreover we've written tests on each lesson - fuu. But about an hour ago our form teacher called me and asked about the situation. Ok, mister, it was ok.
For tomorrow I have to learn by heart a little part of "War and Peace" - a monologue, thoughs of Bolkonsky about the sky above Austerlitz. I think, it's easy and understandable enough, but anyway I have to do it. Generally, I like Prince Andrei. So pity, he dies in the end [SPOILERS!].
Nothing more, just night pictures:
Song of the day... Song of the day? Oh, the song of the day will be popular "Crazy In Love". But I'd even pay attention more to the version of Emeli Sande & The Bryan Ferry Orchestra for my potential favourite film "The Great Gatsby" (it'll be pity, if it doesn't justify hopes). And, of course, let's not forget about the original gorgeous performer Beyonce. So, choose your best and enjoy!
