Blame it on September
Allstar Weekend, "Blame it on September"
Here coming autumn. School. Cold. My birthday in October. But now it's September outside, and today was the First September - the Knowledge Day in Russia and other post-Soviet countries, and our first day in the last grade. So magical. I invited my mom to school to our grand meeting about the 1st September for the 1st and 11th grades. She made some photos having been asked by me also. Some of my friends were pretty sentimental, so they even wept a bit listening to the speeches and watching first-formers. But not me; I'm saving my tears for the prom.
Also after school we were enforced to go the exhibition of the photographer taking pictures of our school. Well, it was nice, though I liked adjacent exhibition of the fans more. Or, at least, I kept on having fun with my guys.
Our 'daddy' had to make a speech |
After the exhibition my mom and I did shoes shopping! Finally we bought me high-heel demi-season boots. I adore this kind of shoes, actually.
These guys we bought first. I hadn't know that I'd get the next pair. They're comfortable, safe and so intimate, like an old friend.
See my kitty behind? I told her: "Go to the frame! People like cats!", but she decided to hide.
You know, I've already made this song the song of the day twice (click here and here), but I just can't let myself avoid this song today, on the 1st of September. Maybe, it'll be a tradition too, like I did it with "Summertime Sadness" yesterday.
I can still see you standing there
Summer tangled in your hair
First week of July
First day of my life
My voice shook when I said hello
And from that word, we couldn't take it slow
I still can't believe
The way you looked at me
Now the nights turn colder
Your head's on my shoulder
We do our best to pretend
Waves get louder
I'm lost without her
As summer starts to end
Let's blame it on September
'Cause it hurts to remember her
We can fight to hold on
But August is gone
And even if the sun falls
I hope we don't lose it all
'Cause no summer lasts forever
Just blame it on September
We drew hearts there in the sand
Laughed when waves erased our plans
No, we never knew
But they told the truth
I can still hear our laughing friends
As we sneak off again and again
No we never cared
Too young to be scared
The nights turn colder
Your head's on my shoulder
As summer starts to end
Let's blame it on September
'Cause it hurts to remember her
We can fight to hold on
But August is gone
And even if the sun falls
I hope we don't lose it all
'Cause no summer lasts forever
No
On the beach
In the heat
You know I need that sweet ocean air
I'm gonna go
Where I know we can be alone
I'll wait for you
Wait for you there
Blame it on September
We can try to hold on
But August is gone
Blame it on September
'Cause it hurts to remember her
We can fight to hold on
But August is gone
When the sun falls
I hope we don't lose it all
'Cause no summer lasts forever
Let's blame it on September
Blame it on September
I can still see you standing there
Summer tangled in your hair
But also there's one more song I'd like to share with you - it's "Said I Would" by "One Two". It's sweet.
I am a weary soldier,
soldier for you.
Gone are the days uncertain,
they have come loose.
Waiting to fall asleep;
nights can be so cruel.
Holding a photograph
but that won’t bring me you.
Only wanna give you what I said I would (said I would)
Only wanna give you my heart.
Picking up the pieces like I said I would (said I would)
Let me get a piece of your heart,
your heart.
Worlds are turning over,
turning on you.
Don’t let your heart grow colder,
let it move.
Tired of playing games,
By the written rules
Help me break through these chains,
we are over due.
Only wanna give you what I said I would (said I would)
Only wanna give you my heart.
Picking up the pieces like I said I would (said I would)
Let me get a piece of your heart,
your heart.
(repeat)
Your heart.
So just choose your song of the day or like them both as I do. The new academic year has just begun.
It's meant "Be brave!"
